Respect others and be civil

No harassment, hate speech, bigotry, or toxic behavior. Treat all contributors and members with kindness.

No hate or harmful rhetoric towards any islander

While opinions on islanders are allowed to be both positive and negative, excessive negativity veering towards hate and harmful rhetoric is not tolerated. Racism, transphobia, sexism, body-shaming, slut-shaming, micro-aggressions, slurs, and any other bigotry will be removed, and may lead to a ban.

No speculation, rumours, or misinformation

Unsubstantiated speculation, rumours, or misinformation may not be posted and/or commented without proof or evidence, especially if it is defamatory. (This does not rule out speculation entirely - feel free to speculate in one of our threads!)

No post derailing

Please keep comments on posts on-topic. Comments that go off-topic with the intention of creating drama or discourse are not tolerated and will be removed.

No rehashing villa topics

This sub is dedicated to discussing and providing updates on the islanders post-season. There are currently other active subreddits that allow for conversations on villa topics!

No discussion of islanders' friends & family

Friends and family of the islanders did not sign up to be on Love Island, and therefore are not permitted to be posted (unless it relates to an islander, such as birthday post with an islander's sibling).

No low effort content

Low effort content, such as the likes of islanders, social media stan drama, or news unrelated to the islanders, that is posted with the intention of causing drama or discourse is not tolerated and will be removed.

No brigading

You may disagree with posts or comments, but brigading is a violation of Reddit's rules and is strictly prohibited.

No posting "think pieces"

Please refrain from making long discussion posts or "think pieces". If you would like to discuss islanders or add commentary to an ongoing situation with an islander, please consider using our two threads - the Daily Community Chat and/or the Weekly Discussion Board.

No oversexualising islanders

Have fun in the comments! We want this to be a fun subreddit - but to an extent. Please refrain from making comments that oversexualise islanders.

No stan wars or anti-stan behaviour

Please refrain from stan war or anti-stan behaviour such as comparing islanders, attacking islanders you are not a fan of, or agitating fans of other islanders.

No spam

No excessive posting of the same topic. If an update with an islander was already posted, for example, posting it again days later will result in the post's removal.

Be respectful to the mods

We reserve the right to moderate at our own discretion. If you have any questions or concerns about moderation, please feel free to message us - but be respectful. Disrespectful messages or comments towards the moderation team will result in bans.
