NO AI.
No AI at ANY POINT IN THE WRITING PROCESS.
We do not review work written, edited, or storyboarded by AI.
"But it just helped me with the flow of my story!" We don't care.
There are subreddits specifically for you to submit your AI assisted writing.
We are not one of them.
This is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy.
Posting AI prose will result in a permanent ban with no chance of appeal. Yes, this means you won't be able to argue with us about it.
Be Civil.
This shouldn't need to be explained (but apparently it needs to be a rule).
No Self Promotion
We do not allow self promotion.
You are requesting feedback, not trying to sell your book. Titles of work are fine, however already published works will not be allowed. Obviously this means no links, nor any "I just published my first novel" posts.
Additionally, if OP seemingly promotes their "book" as though they did not write it, their post will be removed. No sneaky advertising for you, bub.
Posts Requesting Feedback Must Include Content for Feedback
Be it a link, images, or copy-and-pasted text; posts requesting critique must have the actual content posted in the body for reviewers to access.
Links that are hidden behind paywalls, or require creation of an off site account to view, will be removed.
Similarly, no variants of "DM me for it" will be allowed.
Stay on Topic
Self explanatory. Discussions posts are fine as long as they relate to writing on some level, but the 20th "How Do We Identify AI?" post is not needed.
No Seeking Free Labor
Self explanatory.
Users provide feedback.
Don't ask them to do your own writing for you.
Explicit Posts Must be Labeled NSFW
Any posts that include explicit writing (i.e., erotica, intense gore) that are not labeled as NSFW will be removed. We will not add it for you. Make sure your post is labeled correctly. Additionally, explicit posts that are strictly fetish content will be removed.
Repost Rule
If you are reposting your original work for feedback, include edits or revisions. Do not simply repost the same work over and over.
No Homework
We are not going to do your homework for you.
Reach out to your TA, Professor, or Teacher. Don’t ask Reddit.
This subreddit is not good for academic feedback.
Karma Threshold/New Accounts
There is a karma threshold.
This is enforced as new accounts are primarily bots and posting AI generated stories.
If you find yourself unable to post and your account is new, interact with the Community to raise your karma. There's less restrictions on comments. We aren't going to change this policy for you. Too many bots.
If you are an older account and just have no karma, we will manually approve your post when we go through our Mod queue.
