Stay on Topic
All posts must be related to thriller books. This includes recommendations, reviews, discussion questions, news, author updates, cover reveals, and writing advice related to the thriller genre.
Be Respectful
No harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks. Debate is welcome; hostility is not.
Include the Book Title and Author in Your Post Title
All posts about a specific book must include the book title and author’s name in the post title. This helps other users search for discussions, avoid duplicate posts, and know exactly which book is being discussed.
No Spam or Self-Promotion (without approval)
Authors may not self-promote or link to their books unless approved by the mods, such as for AMA events. Promotional posts are only allowed in the monthly Author Spotlight thread. Affiliate links, blogspam, YouTube channel spam, and drive-by promotion are not allowed. Genuine participation in the community must come first.
Low-Effort Posts
Posts with very little context (e.g. “What’s a good book?”) may be removed. Add more detail—what you liked, disliked, themes you’re interested in, etc.
Keep Politics Book-Related
Avoid off-topic political discussion unless it directly relates to the book or author being discussed.
No Title-Only Posts
Posting only a book title (e.g., “Gone Girl”) with no context or question will be removed. Say something about the book—what you thought, what you’re looking for, etc.
No Buying/Selling/Trading Books
This isn’t a marketplace. Posts about selling books, book boxes, or merch will be removed.
No Piracy or Illegal Content
Do not post or link to pirated books, torrents, or illegal downloads. Instant ban.
Avoid Overposting or Repetitive Posts
If a similar post has already been made recently (within the past week), please avoid reposting the same topic. Use the search function to check if your post has already been discussed.
Keep Spoilers in Discussions, Not Titles
Do not include spoilers in your post titles. If you’re discussing spoilers, please mark them clearly in the post body using spoiler tags.
