Improve the community
The sub exists for the benefit of all ThinkOrSwim users. Let your post be an improvement to the community. If you have a question, chances are untold countless of others have the same question. If you discovered something helpful, share it with everyone. If you are just posting to complain, spreading low effort memes and not adding anything to the community please reconsider. Don't delete your helpful post after you have an answer. Maybe it will help someone else.
Be civil
The is a place for helping each other out with our favorite trading platform, not talking trash. Personal attacks and flaming anyone is a time out ban.
No posts without content
Please include meaningful ToS/TDA content IN YOUR POST. Linking to your newest YouTube video with no additional content does not add value. At least give us a paragraph about your video, why we should visit, and why it should be represented in the sub. Don't cross post. If it's meaningful here, it's about ToS and probably should have been here to start with.
No Spamming the same post consecutively.
We understand you may need to repost a question or comment to ensure its visibility but any repost must be submitted at least 24 hours after the first post so as to not clog up other's feed on this sub. Furthermore, any post that has received solid replies and comments but is reposted anyway, will be removed. Anything reposted over 5 consecutive days will then start to be removed if posted again.
No asking for recommendations for alternative Trading Platforms.
Requests for alternative Trading Platforms will be removed. This is a ThinkorSwim specific subreddit. We respect your right to not choose to use ToS. Please go to a more universal trading subreddit for recommendations of other platforms you can use for trading. You ARE allowed to discuss other platforms but no specific requests for recommendations.
Trading and MEME stocks
This subreddit is about a software platform, and how to trade. Asking for or giving advice on trades, especially fomo meme trades may be removed. There are plenty of other communities that are more appropriate.
Don't delete posts
If your post gets a meaningful response or conversation, do not delete your post. Other people can learn from your questions. Deleting them makes no sense.
Don't lead with accusations
Frustrations and problems are real. But if you lead out in your post with accusations of fraud, "getting screwed", or any related item your post will just be removed. If you have having an issue, or are confused or concerned with something you see, start there. Accusing TDA of systematic corruption isn't a conversation starter.
