Questions regarding authenticity are allowed, but please note that answers provided here are non-definitive.

Requirements to Participate

To participate your account must:

• be at least 14 days old
• have at least 20 total account karma

This is to keep the community clear of spam, advantageous scammers, & users unlikely to read the rules.

How to Format Posts

Title: [Type of Post][Your Location (if applicable)] title text

• Type of Post: Should match post flair (i.e. [FOR SALE], [QUESTION], etc.)
• Your Location: If the post is a BST post, then please include your location (country specific– so USA, UK, Canada, etc.)

**Body – BST Posts ONLY:**

• Clear images of items for sale or trade
• Images MUST include Proof of Possession (see Rule #5)
• Item info
• Prices MUST be included for all sale posts
• Accepted payment methods
• Shipping info

BUY / SELL / TRADE (BST)

Buying, selling, & trading is permitted within r/blindbox.

r/blindbox provides a platform for collectors to connect, but all transactions are strictly between users. All BST within the sub is conducted at your own risk. The mod team cannot guarantee the legitimacy of any seller or buyer and is not liable for scams, missing items, payment disputes, or any losses incurred. Please always follow all sub rules & reminder it's best to use secure payment methods when available. trade responsibly!

Proof of Possession/Life (POL)

Proof of Possession (also known as Proof of Life - POL) is required for all sale & trade posts.

ALL sale & trade posts must include:

• Clear photos required at the time of posting. No adding images later!
• A handwritten note in all photos with your Reddit username and the current date
• The note must provide your Reddit username, not your legal name
• Dated within 7 days of current date

Post Flair (non-BST)

• QUESTION: I have a question related to blind boxes
• DISCUSSION: I have something to say about blind boxes & want to know what others think
• MY COLLECTION: I want to show my blind box pulls & collection to the sub
• STORE SELECTION: I want to share the availability at a local shop (in person or online)
• RESTOCK: I noticed a blind box was restocked online or in-store
• NEW RELEASE: I noticed a new blind box being advertised & want to share it with the sub

Post Flair (BST)

• HELP ME FIND: I am looking to buy a specific blind box, help me find it being sold online or within the sub
• SALE: I have a blind box & want to sell it
• TRADE: I have a blind box & want to swap it for another blind box
• PICK-UP REQUEST: I want someone to pick up a blind box for me some a local shop
• PICK-UP OFFER: I am offering to pick up blind boxes from a local shop for other users

Be Safe & Smart

All buying, selling, & trading online comes with some risk. Remember to trust your gut & use your best judgement when engaging in any form of transaction.

• Ask sellers for images with POL (username & date) & assess the images carefully. If you are suspicious, try a reverse image search
• It's best to only use payment methods that provide protection, such as PayPal Goods & Services (G&S) or Venmo with Purchase Protection turned on. Other methods have no added protection.

Spam(mer)s & Scam(mer)s

There is a zero tolerance policy for spam & scammers in r/blindbox.

Any user found attempting to scam / actively scamming another user will be permanently banned. Users who spam the sub will have post/comment privileges revoked.

Report Rule Breaking / Bad Behavior

If you see rule-breaking or bad behavior (scams, harassment, spam, etc.), please report it using the report button on the post/comment. The mod team will review & take any necessary action.

Be respectful & avoid excessive or false reporting. Let's keep r/blindbox fun and safe for everyone!
