No ebay auctions or links to outside sales
Do not post ebay auctions (unless it's part of a broader point or significant in some way, example: "'52 Mantle at $250k!"). No razzes, fatal four ways, or related games of chance where money is bet. No links to other outside sales, discords, or advertisements for social media or unaffiliated subs.
Don't ask for mod; don't comment on moderation
Don't ask for mod. Submitting a request for ownership of the sub will result in a ban. Don't advertise other subs here. Constructive suggestions on the sub can be sent via modmail to mods, criticizing the sub or its moderation or inviting such criticism via a public post or comment will result in a ban. If your post was removed, check the rules first. This is a drama free zone for hobby related posts by folks who enjoy collecting, there are other subs if you have issues with this one.
Include a price or desired return
Do not post links to cards for sale elsewhere, offer them here in the style outlined in the pinned post. All ‘for sale’ posts must include a starting price within the bounds of reality (no fishing expeditions), as well as an image of the card. ‘For trade’ posts must indicate a desired return (what you collect). Want lists can just list the card(s) desired. ‘Coining’ a card by including a piece of paper with your user name and date in the picture helps show you have the card in your possession.
Drama free zone
There's no reason for negativity around the hobby you enjoy. Be respectful of other collectors, the mod, and welcoming to new collectors or people coming back to the hobby. Avoid call out posts, name calling, and personal attacks. Suggestions offered reasonably via DM are fine, criticism and complaining or leading others to do so are not. If there's something you don't like about this sub there are other subs out there. Being disrespectful to the mod or other collectors can result in a ban.
Don't comment on price
The owner of a card can ask whatever price he or she would like to get. If you think the price is too high, make an offer via private message or move on to the next post.
No duplicate posts for sales, trades, or breaks
Cards being posted for trade or sale can be put in two places: the buy/sell/trade thread for the month (and re-posted if not sold or traded in the next month's thread) and as their own post. Please update the post with 'sold' or 'traded' if the card(s) are no longer available. A single break can be advertised once (no countdowns, repeated posts, deletions and re-posts, etc).
Trades or sales not completed
The sub will not be responsible for unfulfilled trades or sales that don't work out, but will ban repeat offenders from posting. Please settle grievances by messaging the mod. Do not post 'call out' posts. The use of alternative accounts to distance oneself from prior bad feedback in order to sell or trade cards is not permitted. The sub strongly suggests settling payment using the "Paying for an item or service" option in Paypal, which offers some level of buyer protection.
Post the hits (not the box)
We want to see the hits you're happy with, but pictures of unopened boxes and retail displays at big box stores aren't that exciting. Similarly countdowns or "should I open this?" posts get kind of old quick.
Exceptions include pictures of vintage unopened product, if you're selling the box and are proving it is in hand, or if you're legitimately asking a question or starting a discussion and a picture is a necessary part of that.
