Photo Posts Policy
All Filipino photographers are welcome here regardless of skill level, gear, or subject. Digital, film, or phone, shoot what you love. That said, post with intention. Snapshots, photo dumps, and low effort posts that add no value to the community will be removed without notice. One strong image with context beats ten mediocre ones every time. Include camera, lens, and location where relevant. Let your work speak for itself. This applies to both posts and comments.
Only Post Photos You Personally Took
No reposts, no stolen content. This sub is for photographers to share their own original work only. If you’re posting for someone else (e.g., family member, student), indicate that clearly and ensure you have their permission.
No AI-Generated or AI-Edited Photos
We showcase real-world photography not AI or synthetic images. Minor editing via Lightroom/Photoshop is allowed (color grading, exposure fixes, etc.), but AI-generated or AI-enhanced content
Include Basic Photo Details
Help others learn by sharing:
Camera & Lens used
Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO
Time of day or weather conditions
Any unique story behind the photo
Example:
📍Vigan, Ilocos Sur Sony A7 IV | 85mm f/1.8 | ISO 100 | 1/1000 sec Shot just after sunrise during a road trip.
No Self-Promotion or Spam
No spamming of links to social media, YouTube, NFTs, or commercial promotions. You may link to your portfolio or socials only in the comments and only if it adds value to the conversation.
Engage Respectfully
Respect fellow photographers. Constructive criticism is welcome, but personal attacks, discrimination, and rude behavior will not be tolerated.
Descriptive Titles
Use informative titles. Avoid generic ones like "My Photo" or "Sunset." Examples:
“Sunrise in Batanes, shot with Canon R5 + 85mm f/1.2”
“Street portrait in Quiapo, Fujifilm X100V, f/2 | ISO 400 | 1/250s” Use flair tags appropriately (Landscape, Portrait, Street, Macro, Film, Gear, etc.)
Educate and Inspire
We encourage posts that teach or inspire others. If you can, include:
How the photo was taken
Creative process
Editing tools or post-processing tips
Selling of Camera Equipment.
✅ Buying and selling of original photo and video equipment is allowed.
⚠️ Buy at your own risk. Moderators are not responsible for scams or failed transactions.
📌 All sale posts must include a price. Posts with no price or asking for an item's value/appraisal will be deleted. If you're unsure of the value, research it before posting.
Read the Pinned Posts First
Before posting a question, please check the pinned posts and our wiki first. Common questions about gear recommendations, camera buying guides, and local photography resources are already answered there. Posts that are clearly covered by existing pinned content may be removed or redirected.
