All posts must relate to NYC weather
It's okay to discuss weather happenings outside of the metropolitan area if it might have direct, later impacts on the region, but try to keep it local.
No conspiracy theories. No fearmongering/downplaying.
Climate change is real. Cloudseeding isn't. The government doesn't control the weather. All submissions should be based on facts and science.
Forecasts & Advisories Require Sufficient Detail
All weather watches, warnings, advisories, outlooks and forecast must contain minimum key information, including: (1) issuing authority, (2) date of issuance, (3) time frame covered, (4) summary.
NWS-issued guidance and advisories do not require a link, but must be appropriately labeled. All non-NWS forecasts and guidance must explicitly identify the person or entity making the forecast, and should include a link when possible.
No copyrighted materials without permission
Official outlooks are fine. Tropical Tidbits and Pivotal Weather are okay as long as you keep the watermarks on. Other materials are subject to the conditions set by the creator/owner.
Be respectful
Be nice. Zero tolerance for any negative attitudes.
Post Quality & Title Requirements
