NO Personal Insults, Threats or Suggestions of Harm

Insulting or threatening other users or pro players is unacceptable. Users who do so will face a ban from the community.

No Misinformation or False Claims

Do not post misleading or false information about players, teams, events, or the game. All claims should be backed by evidence or credible sources.

Keep it On-Topic

All content must be clearly relevant to Marvel rivals and its esport scene. Community members doing things that are not related will be removed. If a link post is not clearly relevant without the title, it will be removed. This rule is enforced at the moderation team's discretion.

NO Low-Quality Threads

Here on r/MarvelRivalsEsports it is expected that all posts meaningfully contribute to the subreddit in some way. A post is considered valuable if it engages the community, prompts an active discussion, and/or is relevant to community interests. Trolling, low-quality and low-effort reaction gifs/memes, empty threads, threads without context, threads with all-caps titles will also be removed. This rule is enforced at the moderation team's discretion.

NO Recruitment Threads

This is not a place to find people to play with, or join factions with.

Match Results Spoilers

Please Use a spoiler tag when posting recent match results, and IF available post in a bracket format \>!spoiler text\!<, Failure in doing so may result in your posting privileges being revoked.

NO duplicate posts

Do not post anything where the discussion is likely to significantly overlap with an existing thread. If a new development on a situation happens, it's fine to post a new thread.

In some cases we may remove a thread that is a duplicate if another thread has a better title or more discussion, even if the thread we remove was posted first.

NO Excessive Self-Promotion

While users can post their own content, there are restrictions on this to maintain the nature of how users engage within the community. It is okay to be interested in content that you'd like to share, but your primary purpose for being on this subreddit should not be to promote that content, This also apply's to gameplay clips. This rule is enforced at the moderation team's discretion.

NO Witch-Hunting

Threads that are created for the specific purpose of attacking any person or team will not be tolerated. You can provide constructive criticism, but it must be clear.

The Other Stuff

No NSFW content, no selling goods or services, and no Doxxing or sharing private info.

Tournament/Event Advertising

You may advertise your personal tournament/event after checking with the mod team (via mod mail) that you are able to do so. (Netease sponsored tournaments/events are of course, always allowed, no need to check with the mod team)

Please keep advertisement towards your tournament/event, but not your discord directy (ex. Join this tournament, link in comments). Violation of this rule will lead to your post being removed and a request to ask the mod team before posting about your tournament/event.

Drama Posting

Limit your drama related posts to things that have to do with rivals esports. If said drama has been posted recently, please refrain from posting something similar on the matter.

If the drama you are posting is relevant, please give hard proven evidence. If the evidence isn’t 100% clear, you shouldn’t post it.

In certain cases, you may check with the mods if you are unsure it will be removed under this rule (most easily through discord, but mod mail works, though it will be slower).
