Treat Everyone with Dignity and Respect

The guiding principle that governs all conduct in r/LAFC is to treat one another with dignity and respect above all else. Racist, ethnic, sexist, or homophobic slurs, as well as any other hate speech of any kind, is not tolerated in r/LAFC, clever wordplay used to disguise such comments included. Posts or comments of this nature may result in a permanent ban from r/LAFC.

No Trolling in r/LAFC & Other Subs

This subreddit is our sanctuary, a place to celebrate our fandom free from outside influence or pressure. Do not troll for any reason in this sub or you may be banned. For our fanbase, please do not troll the opposing team sub as this can lead to a ban.

No Advertising Tickets/Merchandise

Please do not look for, advertise, sell, request or give away tickets or merchandise via posts or comments. Doing so is at your own risk. We have no way of proving the authenticity. Therefore, these posts and comments will be deleted at mod discretion.

LAFC Content & Merch Creators -> Contact Mods

LAFC content and merch creators are welcome to message us before posting. Submissions must be original, insightful, and not spam. Follow Reddiquette’s 9:1 ratio: contribute meaningfully to the sub, not just to promote. Low-effort posts will be removed at mods discretion.

No Politics & Religion - Read Description

Politics and religion are not a part of r/LAFC. The only exception is if it is news that may directly affect MLS, LAFC or the LAFC fanbase. When participating in these post please keep the comments respectful. Any comment that either name calls or is being disrespectful will be deleted and user may be banned.

No Harassment & Attack Threads

7a. Harassment posts/comments of any kind will be deleted at mods discretion and may result in a permanent ban.

7b. We also do not condone attacking another teams fan base as stated in our general rules. We will remove any comments/posts that indicate negativity towards another fan base. This applies to users representing LAFC posting on our behalf in other teams subs.

Post Guidelines Part 1

When posting or commenting:

8a. Limit posts to 5 per day per account. Keep the feed balanced and avoid flooding.

8b. Share thoughtful LAFC content. No clickbait, low-effort posts, or opinionated titles. Current or former player/staff/coach posts must relate to LAFC or MLS. Former player highlights should showcase impactful moments.

8c. Editorialized titles are fine—only for non-article links.

8d. Check before posting. Reposts may be removed. Add new info as a comment in the original thread.

Post Guidelines Part 2

When posting or commenting:

9a. Please do not post NSFW content to this sub.

9b. Make LAFC-related memes, joke threads, gifs, and shitposts only. These posts and comments can be removed at mod's discretion especially on game days.

9c. Paywalls cannot be overruled. Please provide a brief summary without copy/pasting the whole article.

9d. Please do not request or post illegal streams.

News & Rumors Post Guidelines

All news and rumor sources are required to have a direct source link. Screenshots will be removed if no direct source link is provided. Self posts or weak rumors are subject to mod discretion.

10a) Rumor Title formatting are as follows: [Source Name/Content Creator] Title of Post. The body can contain optional content.

10b) X (Twitter) links are banned for use as sources on posts & comments. If no other source can be found, you may use a screenshot of the X (Twitter) post.

Match Threads & Post Legitimacy

11a. During match days, mods will delete at their discretion any posts whose topics belong in the match threads.

11b. Any thread marked as 'Official' without a proper source will be deleted. Please do not use "unofficial" as a way of establishing legitimacy. If you wish to get mod permission to make something official, message us.

Just say no to 3252 Leaks

Anything revealing plans from the 3252 or anything against the rules of the 3252 will be removed.

Moderators can’t be everywhere. If your post or comment was removed without explanation, feel free to ask us. If you see something that breaks the rules, don’t assume we’re ignoring it. Use the Report button (with a reason) or message us directly.

Ban & Evasion

If you are banned, you are banned. Please do not evade your ban with an alternative account. This is a reddit rule we enforce. You may appeal your ban after one year by messaging us.
