Low-effort posts, self-promotion, or repetitive content don’t belong here. Every post should be according to rule 3.

no political hot takes.

Political hot takes are for political subreddits, not here. To keep things fun and on-topic, all politics (real-world or otherwise) are off-limits. This is not limited to USA politics, this includes other countries as well.

No Spam

we love it when you like our subreddit, but try to post 1-2 posts a day at max, if you want to post.

Super controversial, banned, and restricted topics.

anything about calling out certain genders, religions, wars, anything else like LGBTQ (where people are very divided on) .

Additionally: Certain topics that tend to cause issues are restricted to our megathread. These topics currently include; pedophilia, age-gap relationships, misogyny/misandry, homophobia/transphobia, racism. This does not mean you can be racist, transphobic, sexist, homophobic, etc. in the megathread, but you will be allowed to discuss the concepts.

you must explain your take

you must explain your hot take. for example: 'OP - i think (character) in (movie) did poor acting' if a post was like this, unexplained. heres what WOULD be allowed: 'OP - i think (character) in (movie) did poor acting, because of the amount of times they did (action) and barely practised (action)'

no self promotion/advertising

no promoting your own subreddits/websites/etc unless you gain permission from moderators. this also includes begging for money, even if you ask nicely.

don’t report is just because you disagree

if it goes against the rules, yes, report it. if you just don’t like it, move on

Your title must include a subject/overview of your take.

A title is meant to advertise your hot take and be an attention-grabber to readers. Please avoid titles such as “hot take” , “here’s my hot take”, etc. This keeps posts high-quality and helps redditors identify the posts they wish to interact with.

no bots

bots, or karma farming accounts are not allowed. these include bots that post stuff like: what are your biggest (insert topic) hot takes

English Only

No racism, sexism, xenophobia, transphobia, homophobia, etc. If you are being obviously hateful in any of these ways, it will result in IMMEDIATE ban, either temporary or permanent.
