Self-promotion
Promoting your work (books, groups, channels, ect.) is a no go for general posts, however there is a monthly event for self-promoting your works that you can use instead. You can mention your work respectfully in comments if it pertains to the post or comment. If you wish to promote on the subreddit outside of these parameters, please message the subreddit and ask. We won't say yes to most, but things like free books provide value to the community and are allowed.
Political and Real-World discussions
Keep to the topic of the post and don’t start ideologically posturing or gatekeeping. We are here to dive into the genre we all love, not to make it something stupid and unpleasant.
