Be excellent to each other

Be nice and helpful, and do not be mean to others. Even if you disagree with someone, try to respect their opinion.

Do not shame people for not knowing things. Even if they are asking something that is answered in the FAQ, you may kindly redirect them to the FAQ or another resource that answers their question, and you may report the post. Such posts are removed because of rule 3, but we redirect people before removing the post. If you think a question is stupid, you don't have to vocalize that.

Don't post save or gift codes

If you need help or want to show off, post a screenshot of your stats including your banked cookies, current prestige, prestige to gain ascension, and number of buildings. If you absolutely need to post a save code, please use a text-hosting site like Pastebin instead of just pasting the save code. This includes saves from previous versions of the game.

Check the pinned megathread and FAQ before posting

Please read the subreddit FAQ (new.reddit.com/r/CookieClicker/wiki/faq), the official Cookie Clicker Wiki (cookieclicker.wiki.gg), and search the subreddit before posting a question. Questions that are answered in the FAQ will be removed. The pinned megathread and FAQ have answers to many commonly asked questions, as well as guides.

If your post has been removed for breaking this rule, you may need to use Ctrl+F or similar to find the entry that answers your question (refer to the link given).

Only posts related to Cookie Clicker are allowed

Your post should be at least tangentially related to Cookie Clicker. If you want to talk about alternate websites, then make sure that they are not scams (notably cookieclicker.ee). The official Android version of Cookie Clicker was uploaded by Dashnet.

If you wish to advertise your own game that is not a remake of Cookie Clicker, please ensure that the game is a clicker game similar to CC.

Furthermore, all crossposts from r/Meowi are banned.

Low-effort posts are not allowed

These include:

• Posting cheated saves (use of the cheat console or mods used for cheating)
• Achievements that don’t require effort such as "Speed Baking I"
• Discussion posts that don’t invoke much discussion

Frequently posted accomplishments must be posted in the QA thread

These include:

• Combos with 3 or fewer golden/wrath cookie effects (on PC), mobile 2 unless Dragonflight+Click Frenzy/Elder Frenzy+Dragonflight etc.
• Obtaining garden plants, except Juicy Queenbeet, duketater, wardlichen, drowsyfern, everdaisy, golden clover on low level gardens or the last plant required to get Keeper of the conservatory/Seedless to nay.
• Any progress picture or accomplishment from before the first ascension. Exceptions include (true) neverclick, hardcore, or speed baking 3.

Fandom is not a good company and we do not want to support it. The wiki.gg wiki also has more knowledgeable editors, accurate and useful information and strategies.

Do not answer questions which you are not equipped to answer

This includes cross platform (Browser to Mobile and vice versa, but not Browser to Steam). Also, don’t try to apply logic from content mods (such as Kaizo cookies) to vanilla and vice versa. State which content mods you are using when asking for advice.

Rules on reposting

Reposting others content, beyond crossposts, is strictly not allowed. When reporting a repost, feel free to link to the original post.

Do not repost non-question posts. Question posts may be reposted if no answered have been received after 24 hours. When reposting under these circumstances, please link the original post in the post body.

If posts have been doubleposted on accident, the post(s) with a lower number of views will be removed.

While not a hard and fast rule, we would appreciate if you:

• Refrain from begging for updates as Orteil barely, if ever, checks this subreddit and these posts would unnoticed.
• Avoid posting more 5 unique posts a day, and less if you are posting everyday.
