r/ChatGPTcomplaints
This is a free space for users to share concerns, frustrations, and complaints about ChatGPT and recent OpenAI product changes. This community was created after posts voicing criticism began being deleted or buried in larger subs, silencing genuine feedback and outrage. This is not a place to promote other platforms or services - keep it focused on OpenAI.

0 - The spirit of the subreddit
This community was born out of frustration — and the need for a space where users can speak freely, think critically, and share evidence about ChatGPT, OpenAI, and AI moderation in general.
Freedom of expression matters here, but so do respect and relevance. Bring your screenshots, your data, and your reasoning — leave the drama, politics, and spam behind.
💬 We’re not here to be the old man yelling at a cloud — we’re here to make noise that actually matters.
1 - Respectful, evidence-based discussion
Criticize ideas and policies — not people.
If you claim that a post or conversation was censored, include a screenshot or a clear description of what happened.
Maintain a civil tone at all times: no insults, slurs, harassment, or dogpiling.
💬 If you’re wondering whether your post keeps the right tone… it probably doesn’t. Reread it before hitting “Post.”
No AI abuse/ mistreatment / harassment / violence
This subreddit extends our standard harassment policy to AI. All content containing abusive language, mistreatment, violence towards AI will be removed.
Screenshots/copied dumps of the j-space content is not allowed in this subreddit.
2 - Stay on topic
Posts must relate to ChatGPT, OpenAI, or to broader issues of AI moderation, restrictions, transparency, or user experience.
Discussions comparing platforms are fine (e.g., Mistral, Claude, Gemini…), as long as they stay analytical and relevant.
Random tech news, political rants, AI consciousness debates and venting about other subreddits belong elsewhere — this sub focuses on AI policies and user experience, not metaphysics.
3- No explicit content
We discuss censorship and policy, not NSFW material itself.
Posts containing explicit sexual content, nudity, graphic descriptions or jailbreak talk will be removed. You can describe what was blocked — just keep it factual and non-graphic.
💬 Yes, you can say your NSFW content was blocked. No, don’t describe it in detail. Seriously, don’t. I can — and want to — live without it.
4 - No spam or self-promotion
Don’t post referral links, personal promotions, or “follow me” content. We’re here to discuss policies and experiences — not to grow anyone’s audience.
Links to other relevant Reddit posts are fine, as long as they add context or value to the discussion.
Invites to Discords, personal websites, or social accounts should stay in private messages, and only if both sides are comfortable. 💬 If we get spam complaints, those posts (and users) will walk the plank. ⚓️
5 - Be transparent with reposts
If you’re reposting something removed elsewhere (e.g., from r/ChatGPT or OpenAI forums), include the original source and removal date.
Blur or crop usernames when needed — the goal is to show evidence, not to target individuals.
Reposts without attribution or that clearly aim to stir drama instead of discussion will be removed.
💬 Transparency builds credibility. Anecdotes don’t.
6 - Moderator discretion (with accountability)
Mods may remove posts that break rules, derail discussion, or are made in bad faith. Every removal must include a public reason (Automod or Mod Log).
If you think your post was removed unfairly, message the mod team — not a meta rant.
💬 Don’t look for loopholes to post off-topic stuff — we all know when we’ve crossed a line (wooden leg or not). ⚓️
7 - No usage related criticism
Everyone can interact with their AI in a way that suits them. Please, do not criticize others based on their type of AI interactions.
8 - No politically charged insults
Talking about laws and politics affecting AI platforms is allowed, but please, do not insult other people/developers based on their political roots (aka no "right wing nazi", or "leftists creeps" etc)-
