Use the megathread

If you want to promote a character ai alternative, post it in the megathread please! Please don't spam or encourage users to post for credit on your service.

Self Promotion & Transparency

Self-promotion is only allowed in designated megathreads or relevant recommendation requests. Promoting your own content (e.g., websites, apps, or other projects) is only allowed in megathreads or when directly responding to a post asking for recommendations. If you are affiliated with or work for the service you’re promoting, you must clearly disclose your connection. Excessive, misleading, or irrelevant self-promotion may still be removed.

No Spam or Off-Topic

Please don't spam the subreddit with repeated posts or comments. Posts and comments should be on topic. Spam and irrelevant posting can result in a ban.

Spammers are members who copy and paste recommendations, generate them via AI, or repeatedly promote the same service regardless of context. They don’t contribute meaningfully to the community: their sole goal is pushing you to join their platform or earning a reward for making a comment/post on Reddit.

No Companion Products or Review Sites

This subreddit does not allow AI Girlfriend / Boyfriend / Companion products. Links to reviews outside of this subreddit are not permitted. This includes review sites, blogs, and crossposts.

No Referral or Incentive Links

Referral links, invite links, codes, or any links that provide rewards, credits, points, or other incentives for posting are not allowed anywhere on the subreddit. This includes links with referral parameters (e.g. ?ref=, invite=, code=), “post for rewards” campaigns, or attempts to bypass this rule with URL shorteners or redirects. Repeated or intentional violations may result in removals or bans.

Surveys & Research

Research & Surveys require mod approval before posting. Your message to mods must include: your full name, institutional or organizational affiliation, funding sources or sponsoring companies, and the purpose of the research. "Independent researcher" is not sufficient. Posts without prior approval will be removed. Misrepresenting your affiliation may result in a ban.
