Be Respectful and Civil

Let’s create a welcoming space where everyone feels respected and supported. Offer only constructive feedback—unproductive or negative comments have no place here.

Provide Clear and Detailed Requests

When making a request, include enough details for artists to understand your needs. Specify dimensions, the type of machine it will be printed on, and other relevant details. Avoid vague requests, such as sharing an image without scale or context.

No Requests for Free or Cheap Remakes of Others’ Designs

Respect the work of designers by not requesting free or low-cost copies of existing designs. If a design already exists on platforms like Thingiverse, Thangs, Cults, Printables, or MakerWorld, please obtain it from there instead. Pay designers fairly for their work.

No External Sales or Unsolicited Self-Promotion

This community is focused on collaboration, not external sales. Do not redirect users to Fiverr or other sales platforms. Unsolicited self-advertisements for external services or services you can provide will be removed. Posts showing completed work will also be removed. If you wish to share your finished job, post the pictures in the original request thread or in the Completed Jobs thread pinned at the top of the subreddit.

No Unsolicited Job Completions

Do not share pictures, renders, or completed work for jobs you have not been officially accepted onto. This ensures fairness in bidding and prevents confusion or pressure on buyers.

Exceptions will be made for designers doing the work for free.

Keep Free Requests Reasonable

Most large, time-intensive projects will be denied. Requests related to character design, school assignments, or similar work will not be approved. Moderators may allow certain large posts at their discretion for charitable or quality-of-life purposes (e.g., prosthetics). Jobs that require significant effort should not be requested for free.

Follow Reddit’s Content Policy

Do not post or engage in NSFW, illegal, or otherwise prohibited content. Piracy, scams, and unethical behavior are strictly forbidden.

Keep Posts Valuable & Relevant

Posts and comments should be related to 3D printing and design. Off-topic discussions may be removed. Excessive self-promotion or spam is not allowed—if you’re promoting your work, ensure it provides genuine value to the community.

Report Rule Violations Instead of Engaging

If you come across a rule-breaking post or comment, report it instead of escalating the situation. Our moderation team will handle it as quickly as possible.

Payment Recommendations & Handling Disputes

We do not manage payments directly, but for security, we recommend using PayPal for Goods and Services to protect both buyers and sellers from potential scams.
