We want every user to feel welcome in r/whatnotapp.

Comments or content that are violent, threatening, abusive, sexually explicit, obscene, offensive, hateful, derogatory, defamatory, or are racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable content will be removed. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated, as well as harassment and doxxing. This applies to sellers as well, remember the human.

All Posts Making an Accusation Require Proof

All posts making an accusation about other users (buyers and sellers) require tangible proof. The burden of proof is on you if you are making a claim. This includes: Screenshots, video clips, DMs, etc.

Personal stories and anecdotes are not enough. Anybody say can say anything they want, but we require solid proof for all accusations. An accusation is anything that claims that someone else is engaging in illegal, unethical, immoral, or scammy practices.

Contact Mods For Post Reviews

If you see content pertaining to yourself or your business and would like a review of the content, contact mods through Modmail and include links.

This subreddit was built to allow users of Whatnot to freely talk about anything related to Whatnot. This includes criticism and venting.

Engaging users on posts uncivilly may result in removals or a ban.

No Shaming or Bashing

No shaming or bashing other users (buyers and sellers). This includes: Givvy Goblins, users asking sincere questions, people's appearances, buying preferences, using the app, etc.

Venting is allowed with appropriate flair, but we do not shame people for things they can't control, how they spend their money, things Whatnot allows, or just using Whatnot.

No Spam, Low Effort, Off Topic, or Generally Unhelpful Posts

Anything deemed to spam, low effort, off topic, or generally unhelpful will be removed. Comments and posts must be relevant to Whatnot and/or the topic of OP's post.

Self-promotion / Stream Promotion Go in the [Weekly Promote] Sticky Post Only

Keep all self and stream promotions in the [Weekly Promote] sticky post.

A new post will be stickied (pinned) to the top of the sub every Monday at 8:00 AM EST automatically.

Do Not Post Invite Codes

Invite codes are not allowed on the sub.

No Direct Selling or Trading

Please sell all products directly on Whatnot’s marketplace.

Do NOT create any for sale or for trade posts.

Do Not Promote Other Platforms

Please do not promote any platforms that are not Whatnot or related to Whatnot.

Discussions involving Youtubers are best suited to their channels or individual subs.

No Duplicate Posts

Please use the search feature and see if there is a post about the topic before creating a new post.

Please update initial posts in comments, "Part 2"s will count as duplicates.

Exceptions: Updates on the topic. (i.e ---- has been perm banned on Whatnot. or *New video of ----- scamming!*)

New Seller Sunday

Just getting started with Whatnot? Have bunches of questions? Sunday is your day! Ask all newbie seller questions on Sunday [00:00 - 23:59 EST]. Any new seller questions posted outside of this time frame will be asked to repost.

Authentification Posts

All posts asking for confirmation of authenticity must have reasonable suspicion of being a scam and include photos and a description of why you believe the item is inauthentic. Posts asking for a "legit check" without further details will be removed. Please refer those inquiries to brand/item-specific subs.

No Harassment or Doxxing

Harassment or doxxing of any kind is not allowed. This includes: Any personally identifying information (public business info is fine), brigading, review bombing, stalking, excessive hate posting, or encouragement of these behaviors. If you are venting about a buyer redact all names and personal info, the only exception is if the user also a seller.

Moderator Discretion

Any content on the sub that any mod deems inappropriate, disruptive, or otherwise lowering the quality of sub standards may be removed.
