Rule 1 - Hostile and/or inappropriate behavior

TL;DR; Be kind. Follow the subreddiquette.

Kindness and generosity should be your ideals when posting and commenting on r/mylittlepony.

The subreddit's purpose is to celebrate and discuss My Little Pony - all generations, their official offshoots and all fanworks that fit wihin our rules. Be kind when commenting, and give proper credit to the creator when posting fanworks. Our subreddiquette holds more detailed codes of conduct, all of which are considered part of rule 1.

Rule 2 - No NSFW (Sexual/Violent Content)

All submissions and comments should be kept safe for work. This means no discussing, linking to or posting suggestive, sexually explicit or graphically violent (aka. grimdark) content. This subreddit is intended to be an appropriate space for teenage fans and older. Alternative subreddits do exist should you wish to share content which would violate this rule.

Rule 3 - Unrelated to My Little Pony

In an effort to keep the subreddit on-topic, all submissions to /r/mylittlepony should be directly related to the show or the fandom itself. This means that all content submitted should be easily recognizable as dealing with My Little Pony. Please try to avoid submitting content that might be tangentially or coincidentally related. Just because a phrase from the show is seen somewhere else, it isn't necessarily a direct reference.

Rule 4 - Repost or fixed posts

[FIXED] submissions are common on Reddit. They constitute a submission where previously submitted content is altered slightly and resubmitted, or when a popular meme format is submitted repeatedly by one or more users. [FIXED] submissions are heavily regulated, and some variations are subject to removal. However, all variations are welcome in the comments of original posts. AI content is not allowed.

Rule 5 - No Pictures Thursday

Images are not allowed to be posted on Thursdays (No Pics Thursday).

Rule 6 - No AI content.

All AI-prompt-generated content, in all forms, is banned from r/mylittlepony, as is all AI-generated sound such as voice or music.

Rule 7 - Proper sourcing.

When submitting or embedding fan-made works made by others, proper crediting is mandatory. Use a clear, searchable title and a clickable link to the place where they uploaded their art originally, as long as that website wouldn't break rule 2, or if that is impractical, from a gallery that provides source links. A comment or submission lacking a proper source may be removed - especially if the moderators can easily find a source.
