Everything is music if anyone sees it as such.
This rule is less of a rule and more just a recommendation, but everything is music. Rap is music, pop is music, country is music, metal is music, electronic is music as long as there is at least one person on this planet that thinks it is. Don't tell people what is music or not. You may like said genre, you may hate it, but you may never ignore the fact that it is music.
Don't be racist, homophobic, sexist, etc.
This includes any usage of slurs, whether you can reclaim them or not. Keep this sub civil, anyone who promotes this stuff will get banned.
Don't go too hard on others music taste
If somebody asks you for opinions, that's perfectly fine if you tell them that the things they listen to aren't your cup of tea. But if you go out of your way and try to make them change what they like, or try to hurt or harass them in any way, you will be permanently banned. This subreddit is about music, which is a highly subjective topic. You can't just make somebody listen to rap or metal or indie because that's what you like.
There is no such thing as objectivity in music.
Don’t make fun of someone or bash someone for their musical opinion. You can disagree, but don’t be toxic about it. Instead you should be jealous that they’re able to enjoy something you can’t.
Post your Wrapped or other yearly recaps in the Spotify Wrapped Megathread
Don't flood the sub. Any post about Wrapped will be removed.
