(Pre-diagnosis) - "Do I have kidney disease?" and all variants will be subsequently removed
The majority of us are laypeople, ALWAYS defer to your physician(s). We understand people have significant health anxieties, but providing advice can sometimes cause greater harm.
The diagnostic processes for kidney disease involves - blood tests (lab work), ultrasound scans, and kidney biopsy. As anxiety inducing as this can be, you must go through these processes if KD is suspected.
(Pre-diagnosis) Be mindful of offloading or draining the community
Kidney disease is heterogenous and prognosis exists on a spectrum. Some people in this community are profoundly impacted by their condition(s) and have poorer prognoses.
Please consider whether your question reflects the purposes of this community when you post questions such as:
"Do bubbles in my urine suggest kidney disease?" "Is a GFR of 95 OK?"
No advertising or plugging, wobbly/questionable information
If you are sharing evidence, please ensure you signpost accordingly or provide appropriate source(s). Scientific input is welcomed, and of course evidence-bases vary globally (i.e., low protein diet debate).
