This subreddit is for light-hearted mockery of local happenings particularly r/Houston, the City of Houston, and the cancer coast in general. Exceptions have been made to consider other places like Katy, Conroe, the Woodlands, and Crosby part of Houston for the purposed of this subreddit.

The conversation here is good natured, absurd, and meant to poke fun at the all-too-serious people around us. Poorly done satire is just being an asshole.

Stop making this sub your personal culture war battle ground.

Leave the politics for other subs

When making fun of Houston and the surrounding areas, political proclivities WILL get clowned upon. You need to have thick enough skin to handle that. Houston political views are wider than Joel Osteen's front teeth so expect equal opportunity humor here.

Note: that doesn't mean this is a left-wing or right-wing safe space either. Serious political topics should be discussed on r/Houston , r/Texas , r/Politics , or another unfunny subreddit.
