r/highschool Subreddit Rules

1

Keep It High School Related

Posts should be at least loosely related to high school life: academics, social life, extracurriculars, exams, applications, etc. Posts having to do with the subreddit are an exemption to this rule.

2

Be Respectful

No bullying, harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks. Treat everyone with kindness and maturity. This does not mean that every little insult will be removed, don't report someone for calling you dumb. Only certain types of remarks will be removed, including racist, sexist, homophobic or other discriminatory content, and will result in a ban if applicable.

3

No NSFW or Inappropriate Content

This includes nudity, sexually explicit posts, or overly suggestive material. This is a community full of children, keep it clean.

4

No Cheating or Academic Dishonesty

Don’t request or offer help that promotes cheating, such as sharing test answers or submitting others’ work. Posts made about an event that already occurred are fine, but don't facilitate cheating. This includes things like essay writing services and asking people to do work for you.

5

Protect Your Privacy

Don’t share personal information (yours or others’), such as full names, addresses, or school names. This also includes identifying facial features, both of yourself and others. This post has more information --> https://www.reddit.com/r/highschool/comments/1qd9vq2/regarding_irl_information_important/

6

No Spam or Promotion

No advertising, promotion, or unrelated links. Unflaired shitpost also fall under this rule. Occasional promotion is okay with prior mod approval. Please use modmail for all related inquires, DMs to mods will be ignored.

Surveys are allowed as long as they do not collect any personal information, such as emails. This is the case even if it's optional.

Tutoring services are not explicitly banned, but they will rarely be approved.

7

No Grade-Sharing Posts

Posts that are solely about sharing your grades, GPA, test scores, or class rank are not generally allowed in this subreddit. These types of posts tend to flood the feed and are better suited for more focused discussions.

If you’d like to share your grades or see how others are doing, please post on the pinned weekly thread.

8

Fight Posts

Fight posts MUST be labeled as NSFW, otherwise the post will be removed and the poster banned for a week.

Posts that include graphic content (blood, excessive violence, etc) are completely banned.

9

Banned Posts

Some kinds of posts don't explicitly fall under one of the other rules, but they are still not allowed. As of right now, this lists includes:

Violation reason: Banned Post
10

Mod Discretion Applies

Mods reserve the right to remove posts/comments and take action at their discretion to keep the sub healthy. All ban lengths are at the discretion of the mods.
