r/headshots Subreddit Rules

1

Be Civil

Seriously. This isn't r/roastme or r/rateme. This sub is to share and discuss headshots from both sides of the lens. Not sure how to be civil? Sounds like you should take a break from Reddit. This rule will be enforced with permanent bans. Also, see rule 2.

2

Give Constructive Feedback

"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Constructive does not mean praise, it means actionable. "Ew, no" is not constructive. "That lighting is unflattering, try doing this instead..." is actionable. Don't be a jerk, be helpful.

Violation reason: Unconstructive Feedback
3

No Self Promotion

Users may not directly promote or offer products or services they are affiliated with. This includes tools, photography, or acting. If the point of your post is promotion, it will be removed.

4

No Selfies/Low Quality Content

A selfie is specifically an image captured of yourself casually, regardless of the device used. Low quality content includes images that are low resolution, blurry, hazy, or otherwise unprofessional in nature. In general, if the image was not taken for professional use, it is probably not allowed.

5

No Typecasting

This sub is specifically for discussing headshots, NOT for classification or characterization of people. ALLOWED: asking if a headshot fits a typecast. Please submit typecast posts to r/typecastme. (This rule will likely evolve over time).
