Critique products, trends, or influencer marketing - not people. No personal attacks, name-calling, body shaming, or pile-ons against influencers or users.

Receipts > Rumors

If calling out misleading ads, undisclosed sponsorships, or exaggerated claims, provide screenshots, links, or first-hand experience when possible. Blind gossip or hearsay may be removed.

No Promotion or Self-Plugging

No affiliate links, referral codes, brand promotion, or disguised ads. If you have a connection to a brand or product mentioned, pls disclose it.

Title Format: DIM Required

All post titles must start with “DIM:” followed by the name of the item you want to be deinfluenced from. The body of the post must include clear and sufficient context to support why you need deinfluencing. Posts that do not follow this format will be removed or not approved.

Mo Medical Advice or Procedures

This includes all types of medical inquiries (e.g., diagnosis, medication dosages, or surgical recovery). Our community is not a clinic.

No Major Life Decisions

Quit job? Break up? Move abroad? Travel to a certain place? This is strictly a subreddit for deinfluencing from buying products, not a life-coaching seminar.

Examples of (but not limited to the following) major life decisions are those related to Major Travel, Getting Tattoos, Adopting Pets, Choosing a Career and/or Education, Entering into Relationships, Starting a Family, and Moving out.

No Recommendations

We want to keep this sub as informative and honest as possible, but please stick to deinfluencing the people who post on this sub. If OP wants recommendations or influencing, this is not the sub for that.

Products only

On July 28, 2026, we implemented a rule that only allows products to be posted on this sub.

Posts relating to traveling, piercings, types of haircuts or hair color, tattoos, and other non-products will be removed starting July 28.
