The primary subject of your post needs to be of unique relevance to Canberra, or would primarily generate comments that are of unique relevance to Canberra.

An mere event or occurrence in this region does not by itself makes it on-topic, especially where said event also happens elsewhere.

It is not for describing events that are merely located in Canberra, nor is it for people merely present in the region to make a personal post.

No misinformation, conspiracies or unreliable sources

Posts or comments that spread demonstrably false or misleading information, promote conspiracy theories without credible evidence, or rely on sources known for publishing heavily biased or misleading content may be removed. This includes anti-vaxx conspiracies.

Screenshots, cropped images, or claims presented without verifiable context may also be removed.

No editorialised headlines

When submitting a link to an external article, the post title must accurately reflect the original headline at the time of posting. Do not add commentary, alter wording, or insert opinions into the title.

This rule does not apply if the publisher changes the headline after the post has been submitted to r/canberra.
