In r/BigCats we are here to talk about big cats and big cats only. Unless a photo, article, or question relates to big cats in anyway it will be removed.

No Animal Cruelty Photos or Videos

In r/BigCats we want to promote a community that cares about all animals and ths any photos or videos that contain explicit animal cruelty will be removed.

No Targeted Harassment

In r/BigCats we all care about these amazing animals and while sometimes we might have arguments, we hope that you all keep your disagreements civil and do not harass and sub member or moderator.

No Animal Pornography

In r/BigCats we do not tolerate animal pornography in any way, shape or form. If a post is flagged for containing animal pornography then it will be removed and the user will be punished.

Any Polls or AMA's Require Moderator Approval

If you are doing a poll or an AMA you MUST have moderator approval. Without mod approval your post will be removed.

If you see a post without the moderator approved flair, please report it.

No Pro-Poaching Posts/Comments

In r/BigCats we are welcome to any news and that might include sad news about poaching. HOWEVER, we do not allow posts that support poaching and any posts/comments with signs of this will be removed.

No AI-Generated or Digitally Altered Content

Posts featuring AI-generated, deepfake, or heavily manipulated images or videos of big cats are not allowed. This includes fake wildlife encounters, altered behaviour, or misleading visuals presented as real.

No Low-Effort or Low-Quality Posts

Low-effort posts may be removed. This includes reposts without context, vague titles, clickbait, single-word captions, or content that adds little informational or discussion value.

No Recent Reposts

To keep r/BigCats fresh, informative, and engaging by reducing repeated content and karma-farming, recent reposts within 21 days are not allowed
