r/aspd Subreddit Rules

1

Posting requirements

Karma, account age, and CQS minimums are enforced but not provided in order to mitigate spam.

Do not harass sub members via DM. If you receive an unsolicited DM, please report it by sending us a modmail. Similarly, do not invite harassment by feeding the trolls.

Posts and comments are not automatically approved, they sit in a queue until they’re manually reviewed by the mods.

Follow the sub rules and you’ll have nothing to worry about.

2

Diagnosed members only

This sub is for people diagnosed with Antisocial Personality Disorder. Do not claim an ASPD diagnosis if you do not have one.

We use the honor code until obviously false claims of diagnosis are made. Self-diagnosis, assumptions of diagnosis, “close enough” claims, and outright ‘larping’ will earn you a ban.

Diagnosed members are not lab rats, please do not treat people as such.

Violation reason: Formal diagnoses only
3

No minors

If you are a minor, you will be permanently banned. You cannot be diagnosed with ASPD until age 18. Even if we suspect you are a minor, you will be permanently banned.

This rule also applies to posts and comments that attempt to label any minor with ASPD.

4

No misinformation

Posts containing misinformation are not allowed, and repeated violations will result in a ban. While we encourage debate and discussion, the spread of false information is prohibited — even if unintentional. Always try to provide credible sources to support your claims, especially when sharing information directly related to ASPD.

5

No diagnosing

Do not use this sub to diagnose yourself or anyone else. This includes seeking advice on potential ASPD symptoms, including asking “how” to be diagnosed; “does this sound like ASPD?” submissions, asking for analyses of your behavior, or confirmation bias seeking.

Armchair diagnosing, reducing people to labels, or speculating on diagnoses of others you don’t know is rude, unhelpful, and also not allowed. Do not be that person.

Violation reason: Asking for a diagnosis
6

Keep it on-topic

Posts must be about ASPD.

Overly-discussed topics and requests for character/short story critiques are not allowed.

No spamming, no advertisements, and no AMAs.

Also, please do not ask the mods if you can post your unofficial surveys or research studies, including coursework or homework projects. If you have an IRB in-hand, you may contact the mods for prior approval.

Violation reason: Off-topic
7

No bitching

If your feelings are hurt and your entire world feels like it’s crumbling over a ban or comment removal, take a few deep breaths and just shoot us a modmail once you’ve calmed down and we’d be happy to hear you out. Throwing a temper tantrum here or anywhere else will earn you a ban, and we encourage you to revisit the platform rules before doing so.

8

Follow Reddit’s platform rules

All posts and comments must abide by Reddit’s platform rules or they will be removed and your account may receive a site-wide ban.
