Convention critique

Please understand that not every fan is able to travel abroad. Don't demean someone because they enjoy a con you hate. But criticism of the con itself is OK as long as it's constructive.

Some cons have had controversy. Discussion is OK unless it's about older drama that has been discussed to exhaustion. See the detailed rules here.

Discuss anime cons only

This is a subreddit about anime conventions. If discussing a specific con, the primary theme must be anime or Japanese otaku culture. Breaking this rule: automatic tempban due to frequency.

WHAT'S NOT:

• Furry cons. Use r/furry.
• Comic cons. Use r/comiccon.
• Gaming cons. Use r/boardgames or r/gaming.
• Multigenre fandom cons where anime is an afterthought.

• Low-effort: Can be answered by animecons.com or AI/Google.
• Self-Cosplay: Not OK except scheduled con events (e.g. masquerade/group photoshoot). They don't invite discussion; please use r/cosplay.
