Make an Effort Before You Post
Making an effort means you put in the work to add value to the community. The goal is to create healthy discussions where people can learn the best practices for a buhay digital.
Asking a question? Use the search tool first to see if it has already been asked with sufficient answers. Make sure to add as much details as you can because it's also hard to answer without context.
Sharing a Screenshot, Link or Video? Add a short summary or explainer.
Self-Promotion Posts Should Also Follow Rule #1: Make an Effort Before You Post.
Straight-up self-promotion (websites, groups, blogs, vlogs, etc) is extremely discouraged.
General Rule: Self-promotion is secondary to adding value to the community. You can add value by creating a post that educates, entertains, or promotes discussion.
Here are some ideas: How-To, What I Learned, Ask Me Anything, Comparisons, Income Transparency, Behind the Scenes, Tips, Resources, Etc.
If you are posting links or video, add a comment that follows this rule.
Be Respectful & Civil
Let's create a welcoming environment. Even through heated debates, also give respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. Insults, curses, & threats will be removed.
Be On-Topic
Posts should be related to earning income online. Topics include digital careers, startups, content creation, and other related.
Post Restrictions: No MLMs & Investments (Trading, Crypto Etc.), Gambling, Selling or Solicitation.
Be Precise With Your Job Posts
In order to avoid being a spammy subreddit, Posts that are 'Asking for a Job' and 'Job Posts' will be scrutinized thoroughly. r/VirtualAssistantPhil.
Be clear and precise with your job posts and make sure that all the details can be found on the post to avoid scams.
Salary "Sharing" Posts with No Helpful Info or Discussions Will Be Removed
What Are Salary Sharing Posts? Often framed as “not to brag, but to inspire,” these are posts where you share your income, bonuses, or something similar.
To stay up, they must include helpful, non-generic info in the post or comments.
Examples:
- How you got the role
- Detailed look at your work process and daily tasks
- Skills you learned to get where you are
- Tips or lessons others can apply
Business & Work-Related Tech Posts Are Okay, But Personal Tech Questions Are Discouraged
Business and work-related tech posts are okay for this sub since it's still on-topic. E.g. WFH equipment, work software, etc.
But personal tech questions are subject for moderation and can be removed if too far away from the sub topic.
Repetitive Legit Check: Check the "Where Do I Start" Pinned Post First
Due to the increasing amount of repetitive legit check posts, we're removing anything that has been asked too many times.
e.g. scams like asking you to pay, asking access to your personal account, etc.
If your post was removed, it's very likely that it's a common scam documented in the 'Where to Start' Pinned post. Please check it first before posting next time.
Posts Making Accusations Will Be Heavily Scrutinized
These posts may be removed for any of the following reasons: lack of information, inconsistent claims, potential for harm, blackmail, privacy concerns, and violations of basic human decency.
Don't Screenshot & Shame Other Members
Regardless of intent, such posts often lead to harassment and can create a toxic environment. These kinds of posts will be removed.
There may be some exceptions, such as notifying people about scams, but these posts should focus on providing helpful information rather than attacking others.
Don't Bring Other Community's Drama or Private Feuds Here
Sharing relevant info is fine, but when the subreddit turns into a place for drama, gossip, or airing other groups' dirty laundry, things can get out of hand fast. We’d like to keep this space positive and focused on what matters to our community.
Posts like these may be removed on a case-by-case basis, but they're strongly discouraged.
Be Transparent with Details
Please add the details of whatever you are promoting or discussing in the main body of your post. DM is NOT the key.
Post Restrictions: No MLMs & Investments (Trading, Crypto Etc.), Gambling, Selling or Solicitation.
There are better subreddits for asking about investments.
Gambling, selling and solicitation are also not allowed.
Spam Posts Will Be Removed & Banned
What is considered spam? Any content that is excessively posted, repetitive, or irrelevant to the subreddit and conversation.
If your goal is just to get users or members, you must first demonstrate the value of your proposition within the post/sub. Otherwise, it will be treated as spam.
Also, repetitive promotional posts should be spaced apart. Otherwise, they will be treated as excessively posted and marked as spam.
Follow Reddit Rules
Please follow Reddit rules in your posts or comments. Common violations include doxxing, brigadeering, etc. You can read the full list of Reddit rules here: https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules
