r/Transmedical Subreddit Rules

1

Show Respect

Do not harass, attack, or demean other members.

2

Stay on Topic

Conversation should be related to the topic of this subreddit and the discussions being had in posts. Content that is off-topic may be removed at moderator discretion.

3

Put Transsexuals First

This space is first and foremost for Transsexuals: Those with the drive to live and be accepted as a member of the opposite sex. Those with nonbinary identity or other non-transsexuals should refrain from driving the conversation.

Conversation may at times be about non-transsexual individuals and groups, however this discussion should not serve the purpose of advocacy or prioritizing those identities as other groups are more suited for this type of discussion.

4

Self Promotion

This is not a subreddit for you to post your personal channels, subreddits, businesses, social media accounts, content, research participation opportunities, etc.

If you feel that doing any of these will be beneficial to members, please first message the moderators for permission.

5

Do not spread hate.

It is reasonable to assume we will disagree with each other and with other groups, but there is a difference between disagree with and directing hate toward others.

Do not promote violence against, undue hostility towards, or threaten to harm any person in or outside of this group. This includes public figures and creators.

Be reasonable and use your best judgement.

6

Don't make prejudiced remarks.

Do not make negative personal remarks about individuals or groups based on immutable characteristics. This means someone's sex, race, skin color, nationality, religion, disability, or sexuality.

7

No Mini-Moderating

If you see content or users that violate rules, report it. Telling others to leave or that they do not belong here is not your responsibility.

8

No Brigaiding

Do not advocate seeking out other users or communities with the intent to interact with them in an organized manner. Keep discussions here, do not harass others and do not advocate for vote manipulation as it is against Reddit's content policy.

Secondarily, do not come here to do the same. This will result in an immediate ban and report to reddit for violating its guidelines.

9

No name-calling

Do not label other people, content creators included with names intended to hurt, defame, or undermine them. This is always a bad-faith argument tactic and will not be tolerated.

10

Cringe

Do not post content with the intent to simply "show others" or bully/harass others. If you are posting content from others that you feel warrants criticism, it needs to be part of a larger message or criticism explained in the post itself or in the comments.

Do not post content intended simply to "make fun" or others. Criticism is allowed, harassment is not.

11

Uncensored material

Please do not make posts or post screenshots that have uncensored usernames or community names. Do not tag other groups or users with the intent to criticize them or name them in an already censored post.

12

No Diagnosing

Do not attempt to diagnose or request a diagnosis from others. This includes posts or comments about whether an individual is transsexual or not, or whether they are dealing with a separate issue. Speculating within reason is acceptable.

Secondarily, do not tell other users they are not transsexual. Most often, this is done as an attack and may be considered harassment. If you see content that does not belong here or users violating our rules, please report it so the mod team can handle it.
