This subreddit is for the sharing of authentic Hermès products. We do not support counterfeits.

If you post a fake bag, be warned that you may be called out by seasoned members of the subreddit! While we aren't professional authenticators, many members of this subreddit have a hawk eye when it comes to spotting fakes. Moderators will remove suspicious posts at their discretion.

Be Kind

Treat others with respect and be kind to one another. Rudeness, insults, bullying, snarky behavior, trolling, and harassment are not tolerated.

No Spam

Posts that are spam will be removed.

No Selling/Buying/Trading

Advertising and buying/selling/trading Hermes products is not permitted in this subreddit. Posts asking, "Where should I sell this?"/"Should I keep or sell?" with photos and/or descriptions of the item will be removed at moderator discretion.

Please visit r/handbagexchange if you are interested in selling or buying authentic Hermes pieces! We also recommend looking into Rebag, Fashionphile, Sotheby's, and Madison Ave Couture to sell your pieces.

No Advertising or Self-Promotion

Advertising of services, items for sale, promoting ones social media accounts, soliciting participation in surveys / research, etc are not allowed.

Neutral mentions (e.g., “there are subscription alert services such as XYZ”) are fine, but recommendations or repeated plugs ("you should use XYZ service") will be removed at the mods' discretion.

If you're looking to sell, consider r/handbagexchange instead.

No Posts About Finances

Please refrain from making posts about finances, including questions about other users' incomes, how they afford Hermès, and so forth. Please also refrain from criticizing how others spend their money and from making speculations/judgments about what is and is not "affordable" or "smart" spending for others. Posts/comments that attach morality to people's spending will also be removed.

Questions about prices of Hermès products are allowable.

No Authenticatication or Valuation Posts

Please refrain from posting for authentication purposes, or for posting to ask about the value of an Hermes item. Questions about retail prices of Hermes items are allowed. Posts/comments offering opinions on authenticity may also be removed.

We recommend using third-party authentication services such as Bababebi, LegitGrails, Authenticate4u to ensure that you receive a professional and trustworthy authentication!

No Off-Topic Posts

All posts should relate to Hermès. This is not the place for extracurricular discourse.

No Low-Effort/Repetitive Posts

Posts that are repetitive or that are low-effort will be removed.

If you would like to share your bag, please put a bit of effort into the post and tell us the specs, how you got it, etc.

For Paris shopping/lottery questions: please use the Paris Megathread.

Please search the sub using post flairs, take a look at our Wiki, or visit our Prespend Megathread (both linked in community bookmarks in the sidebar) to see if your question can already be answered in these resources!

Accounts must meet a minimum account age/karma requirement to post

In an effort to reduce/prevent spam, posts with fakes, etc., accounts must meet a minimum karma (100 karma points) or account age requirement (3 months) to post (this is how long your account has existed on Reddit - not how old you are).

No Website Screenshots/Order Confirmation Screenshots, etc.

Feel free to post a photo of your bags/items when they arrive, but please refrain from posting screenshots of order confirmation/cancellation emails or low-effort website screenshots.

No AI Posts

Your stories and experiences are welcome, but if it's suspected that you used AI to generate your post, it will be removed.

Private Sale Comments and Questions

Any questions or commentary on private sales must be posted to the Megathread pinned to the top of the subreddit.

Hauls photos and details on the sale posted AFTER attending the sale will be allowed as individual posts.

Respect Your SA's Privacy and the Privacy of Others

While sharing information and images is helpful to the community, ensure that you do not divulge personal information related to your SA or other members of the public.

Paris shopping questions and discussion for tourists must be in megathread.

This rule does not apply to Paris locals. Any posts from tourists to Paris regarding lottery appointments, general questions, tips, etc. must be made in the megathread (check highlights).

Hauls, reviews, and trip details (after the trip) can be made as separate posts and are not subject to the megathread.
