No Hate Speech or Bigotry

Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or disparages on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, caste, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of slurs, harmful stereotypes, and dehumanizing language. Such content will be removed, and users may be banned without warning

No Harassment, Bullying, or Personal Attacks

We strictly prohibit any form of harassment, bullying, or targeted hostility toward individuals or groups. This includes personal insults, stalking, tracking user histories to attack them, and revealing private information (doxxing).

Healthy disagreement and aggressive debate on ideas or public figures are allowed. However, attacking another member personally is not. Engaging in targeted harassment will result in the immediate removal of your content and a temporary or permanent ban.

Maintain High-Quality Posts and Submissions

We aim for critical and nuanced discussion. Low-effort posts, image macros, unverified social media screenshots, generic news headlines without any analysis, and polls with no context may be removed. If you share a link (like an article or video), please consider adding a submission statement in the comments to explain its relevance and kickstart the discussion.

No Spam or Excessive Self-Promotion

Unsolicited advertising and spam are not allowed. While you may occasionally share your own relevant, high-quality content (like a blog post, research paper, or video), it should not be your primary form of participation.

Authentic Discussions Only

We prohibit content associated with political IT cells, corporate marketing firms, or any other coordinated groups that push specific agendas, manipulate votes, or astroturf discussions. This community is reserved for authentic, individual voices and real, everyday people having natural conversations. We also prohibit sharing content that comes directly from political party social media accounts or social media political influencers.

No Inappropriate, Inflammatory, or Misleading Posts

Posts must be respectful, objective, and conducive to healthy discussion. We strictly prohibit posts that use profanity, slurs, or aggressive language to provoke others, as well as any content involving inappropriate depiction of minors. Content that is intentionally sensationalized, misleading, outdated (such as past events framed as current occurrences), or designed solely to outrage will be removed.

Please post and comment in either English or Tamil ("Tanglish" is fine as well). Posts and comments that are not mainly in these two languages will be removed
