No Low-Effort Content
Threads that are considered low-effort are subject to removal at the mods’ discretion. We will remove content completely unrelated to Supergirl as well as posts that are intended solely to gain karma, i.e., “Literally just a picture of . . .” Shitposts that do not contain any substantial material relevant to Supergirl fall under this, as do reposts and any sort of spam.
No Piracy or Illegal Content
Illegal content in general is not allowed. Links to pirated comics, episodes, or films, or to irregular streaming sites will be removed, and bans may be determined necessary depending on the severity.
No NSFW Content
Supergirl in most iterations is a teenager. This is not an NSFW subreddit. Explicit or racy artwork, marked or unmarked, is not allowed.
Be Civil
Any harmful, harassing, or derogatory comments to or about other people, including usage of vulgar slurs, will be removed. Inflammatory and/or offensive comments made with the intention of stirring up drama are not allowed. Continuous uncivil behavior may result in a ban. In terms of the comics, please remember to discern the difference between the writers and editorial. In terms of the TV show and films, do the same for actors and their characters.
Sourcing Correctly
Submissions from other people, such as fan art, rumors, and leaks, must be sourced whenever and wherever possible. Screenshots of unofficial social media accounts must cover up all identifying information, including usernames and profile pictures.
No Self-Promotion
This is not a platform to advertise your YouTube channel or Discord server, and self-promotion should not be your primary reason for browsing /r/Supergirl. Posts about your own channel or server will be removed. You are, however, allowed occasional posts only if you are active, posting non-promotional material, and contributing to conversations in other posts. Use your best judgement. If you are found making excessive self-promotional posts, you may be banned.
No A.I.-generated Content
There is so much real Supergirl art by real people to post. We do not need to resort to slop.
Cosplays
Cosplay posts with links or username of OF and/or any other NSFW site in the body text or title of the post will be removed. However, if the cosplay you're sharing is not yours, be sure the cosplayer is okay with reposting it and provide their social media username where the cosplay was originally posted. Be also mindful of rule 4 related to NSFW content. Sharing cosplays is welcome as long as it's SFW and respect all the other rules of the subreddit.
