No Discrimination, Harassment, or Malicious Content

We have zero tolerance for hate speech, doxxing, or threats. Any violation of this rule is considered bannable, even on the first offence. Harassment, discriminatory content, sea-lioning, witch-hunting, maliciousness, and general pot-stirring is against Reddit ToS and is not permitted.

Posts Must be High Quality and On-Topic

Posts should be discussion-oriented and high-quality. External media or content must help drive discussion (no surveys, pls). Above all, posts must be directly related to Square Enix, its game and anime IPs, and merchandise.

Please avoid posting AI art, low effort content, memes, reposts from the past 90 days, and other bandwagon content that is tangentially related.

Please avoid using ALL-CAPITALS in titles, clickbait headlines, or other attention-seeking methods that are low-quality.

Posting Frequency & Etiquette

Content creators (YouTubers, streamers, etc.) sharing their work must limit submissions to 1 per 24 hours and not more than 3 per 7 days. Be sure to participate in any discussion about your content.

If you post your own fan art, please put OC or [OC] somewhere in the title of your post.

If you post someone else's art, please put the artist's username in the title AND comment with a link to their DeviantArt, website, or social media. Please also do this for cross-posted images.

Self-promotion (YouTubers, Streamers, etc.)

**Content creators who are not monetized, cosplayers, fan artists, and others who create original content**: please keep self-promo posts to no more than 1 self-promo post per 24 hours and no more than 3 times per 7 days.

We recommend that you use interesting, engaging titles to attract the community and set your content apart from others. Be descriptive and honest in your self-promo.

If the self-promotion is for monetary purposes, see Rule 6.

Monetary Self-promotion

Self-promotion in the form of selling of products (Etsy, art) is permitted here as long as it follows common "fair use" guidelines. Cheap imitations, direct copies, and illegal use of trademarked names and imagery is not allowed.

Self-promo posts are limited to 1 per month and not more than 2 posts in 6 months.

Please do not promote fan-made or indie games here.

If you are unsure if it's allowed, message the mods before posting.

Do Not Post Referral Links or Compensate Users

Please don't post personal referral links to Amazon, Humble Bundle, or other sites. This includes using shortlinks/URL shortners or links to Twitter to trick users into clicking your link.

Please avoid posting paid surveys or surveys offering compensation. All posts must be topical to SE (see Rule 3) and not-for-profit.

Respect Intellectual Property

Sharing self-created projects are encouraged, but must be done so in a way that respects the intellectual property of publishers/designers. Shared game assets or digital recreations that are not publicly released by the IP holders require written permission by the IP holder. Game re-themes must be shared in such a way as to prevent physical recreation.

Hide Spoilers and NSFW Content

Respect other users of this sub by keeping Spoilers and possibly NSFW content hidden. Posts and comments must be appropriately tagged or hidden in accordance with our Spoilers guidelines.

NSFW, piracy, and illegal content are prohibited.

Suggestive and slightly lewd content must be tagged as NSFW. This includes cosplay and fan art.

Please do not post sexually explicit or NSFW content.

Images, guides, and links supporting piracy are prohibited by Reddit's User Agreement.

Images and references to other illegal actions or content is also prohibited.

Reminder: Don't Give Out Personal Info, Including Login Info

Do not give out personal information! Especially login information relating to your Square Enix accounts! SE will never ask for your password or 2-Factor Authentication code when helping you with an account problem. SE will never contact you via Discord and offer free games or content in exchange for your personal information or username/password.
