Selling or buying passports, travel documents, and false passports is strictly prohibited. Users may not attempt to purchase or sell passports or ID cards, including expired or falsified passports. Any user posting commercial content or immigration scams will have their posts removed and be permanently banned. This applies especially to anyone attempting to trade in real or fake documents for criminal purposes.

Disrespectful / Discourteous Discussion is prohibited

You may not insult other users or countries. We would like to keep all discussion respectful and welcoming, so no discrimination will be tolerated. We also do not tolerate harassment, especially of other users. Any offending comments will be removed, and depending on the severity or frequency of reported comments, users may be subject to a ban.

Statements which are overwhelmingly negative toward a country or passport may be removed.

Posts or comments which disparage a passport as weak or useless may be removed at the moderators’ discretion. This may also include posts which intend to make one passport seem useless in comparison to another.

Similarly, posts or comments which are overwhelmingly negative towards a specific country may also be removed. This subreddit is primarily a place to post pictures of passports and discuss passport design and is not a place to discuss the merits of one country over another.

No Brigading

Any user who is suspected of brigading our subreddit to either push a political agenda or to spread hate will receive a ban. This ban may occur even if their posts or comments otherwise abide by subreddit rules.

Passport Application / Renewal questions must be posted within the discussion thread.

We are restricting all discussion / updates / questions about passport renewal and application to a stickied discussion thread.

Please use that thread to discuss passport application waiting times, costs, procedures, and to ask questions about what documents you may need to apply for a new passport, and how to do so.

Any posts about passport renewal outside of the discussion thread may be removed by the mod team.

Memes, AI-generated content, and low-effort posts may be subject to removal

Memes and low-effort posts may be subject to removal at the discretion of the mods.

This includes content that is primarily AI generated.

There are appropriate subreddits for passport related memes that are linked in the Related Communities in the sidebar.

Off Topic Content may be subject to removal

Posts that do not contain images of passports, passport stamps, physical visas, or ID cards are not relevant to the subreddit and may be subject to removal.

Posts asking if a passport is too damaged for travel are also not relevant to the subreddit and will be removed.

Discussion about passport design or the acquisition of passport stamps is allowed.

Discussion of other topics such as immigration advice / news or the acquisition of citizenship should be directed towards other subreddits.

Only use the "Passport" flair if your post is an image of a passport.

Only use the "Visa / Stamp" post flair if your post is an image of a physical visa sticker/vignette or a passport stamp.

Photos of national ID cards have the "ID Card" flair.

Conceptual passport designs or passports of fictional states must use the "Fictional / Concept" flair.

All other posts should use the "Other" or "Help & Questions" flair, depending on which is appropriate.
