Rule 01 — Pakistan-Relevant Content Only
All posts must have a clear Pakistan connection — either the founder is Pakistani or the startup targets the Pakistani market. International content is only welcome if it carries a direct lesson for Pakistani founders. This is honour-system enforced and community-reported.
Rule 02 — No Low-Effort Posts
Every post must include a Problem, Solution, and Stage. Beginner questions are welcome but need context — tell us your situation and what you've already tried. AI-assisted content is allowed but must be disclosed at the top of the post. AI is a writing tool, not a content factory.
Rule 03 — No Blind Self-Promotion
Cold pitches and product ads are removed immediately. You can share your startup only if you explain what you built, share real learnings or metrics, and ask for genuine feedback. Any stake or relationship with the company being mentioned must be disclosed upfront using the format: Disclosure: I am the founder / investor / I know the team.
Rule 04 — No Co-founder Posts Without Details
Co-founder requests must include the skills you bring, your equity plan, and your current stage. Vague posts will be removed.
*Rule 05 — No Services, Jobs, or Labour Promotion
No dev services, job listings, agency outreach, or recruitment posts. Mentoring, teaching, AMAs, and knowledge-sharing sessions are welcome. The test is simple — are you here to build alongside founders or sell to them?
Rule 06 — Privacy — Mutual Discretion Only
No public sharing of personal contacts. If both parties have genuinely engaged and you find value in connecting, share privately via DM — on your own terms, never under pressure.
Rule 07 — Critique Ideas. Never People
Hard criticism of business ideas is encouraged. Personal attacks, doxxing, and harassment result in an immediate permanent ban with no warnings.
Rule 08 — No Politics or Religion
No political or religious content of any kind. This is a business-only space.
Rule 09 — Use Weekly Threads
Showcase on Monday, Ask Anything on Wednesday, Networking on Friday, Resources on Sunday. These topics as standalone posts get redirected.
Rule 10 — Mod Transparency Standard
All official PakStartups posts are flaired as "Community Announcement" so members can instantly tell them apart from regular posts. These posts are held to the same disclosure standards as any member post, meaning no exceptions for the mod team. If we are sharing something on behalf of the community, you will always see it clearly marked.
Rule 11 — Follow Reddit Rules
All standard Reddit and Reddiquette rules apply. Appeals via modmail with subject APPEAL, reviewed within 24 hours. AutoMod false removals — modmail us or improve and repost.
