Old School Hip-Hop Relevance

Any and all content posted must be relevant to old school hip-hop, its artists, music, videos, etc. Music posted must be at least 20 years old. Anything else would be uncivilized. Therefore it will be removed immediately. No exceptions.

All music submissions required proper title formatting. This sub requires Artist - Song (Year) or [Year], no exceptions.

Link To Music and/or Article

Avoid taking screenshots of your music player. Find the song on YouTube, Spotify, etc., and share it. Preferably a YouTube link.

For articles, try to use reputable sources and provide a link to full articles that you're discussing.

30-Day Reposting

Avoid reposting any and all content for at least 30 days. Check the sub's history before posting. Especially popular artists and songs. If what you're intending to post has already been posted less than a month ago, post something else.

No Spamming and/or Stanning

This sub has a zero tolerance policy for Spamming and/or Stanning. We all have artists who we really enjoy listening to and love sharing with the community. However, this sub will not be bombarded with egregious amounts of posts pertaining to any one particular subject/artist in ridiculously short time spans. Diversity is key. A ban isn't necessary but posts can and will be removed if mods see fit.

No Low-Effort, Repetitive Discussion, Karma Farming, and/or Verzuz/Vs. Posts

Avoid posts that solicit shallow engagement. No Verzuz/Vs., "Pick One", "Rank These", "Thoughts On", etc. Any and all discussion posts must be made with an "original analysis" by the person posting it. Tell us your thoughts. Give us your opinions and participate in topics that you bring to the community.

Posts that violate this rule will be removed immediately.

Avoid posting your original music. No one wants to be bombarded with your raps and beats. There are subs for that. This isn't one of them. We're here for the good stuff.

No playlists, compilation albums, or entire album posts.

Posting playlists and whole compilation albums is strictly forbidden. It only serves to complicate our ability to adequately enforce our "30-day Reposting" rule concerning music posts. Entire album posts are allowed when accompanied by original analysis, breakdown, and/or review.

No one is here to consume the beats you made, raps you wrote, pics you take, vids you make, your collections, etc. We're here for old school hip-hop music and culture.
