r/MealDealRates Subreddit Rules
No NSFW
No inappropriate comments or links- this is a meal deal subreddit, not r/rule34! Please, keep it friendly. (Swearing is allowed in moderation)
No harassing users.
This applies to any kind of targeting, insults, dming users with hate, spam, etc. Any behaviour of this kind should be reported directly to the moderation team.
No slurs.
This may come under harassment, but just for clarification; this applies to offensive words that discriminate against/are offensive to people with protected characteristics. Any sort of slur, whether it be racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or offensive in any other way, isn't permitted here.
Keep comments and posts on topic!
Does what it says on the tin, but for those who don't understand, I'll clarify: -Comments must be strictly about meal deals and ratings. This links to the above rules. No slurs, harassment, or off-topic comments that have no real contribution to the post. -For any users posting, posts must be about meal deals. A picture would be ideal, but a description or question about meal deals could also be allowed.
No hate.
This is similar to rules 2 and 3. Don't hate on people simply because of their meal deals- you may express dislike, but please don't be aggressive about this!
If you have any concerns, do not directly message moderators- USE MODMAIL!
Self explanatory..
Reporting people.
Reports will often need evidence such as screenshots and links to posts where the rules have been broken. We try as often as we can to moderate based off of reports, but notifications often come late and we're not always online. Please, try to modmail us and report anything that is breaking the rules- make sure to provide reasoning to make it clear what rule they've broken!
Be civil when expressing opinions.
Applies to quite a few of the above rules. Negative/disagreeing opinions are allowed as long as they're non-aggressive. Ex: ''I wouldn't personally try it, 2/10'' is allowed, but ''2/10, fuck off and never show your horrible taste here again'' isn't allowed.
Feedback.
Feedback on things such as rules to add and regulations for posts can be posted through modmail, once again, do not contact moderators directly unless the moderator in question has agreed to it.
Swearing.
Swearing on this sub is allowed, as long as it's contained, non-aggressive, and unoffensive. As long as it's kept to a minimum, it's allowed. Excessive/hateful swearing should be removed, and any offensive language reported.
No politics.
This isn't the place for it- keep things related to meal deals and keep all of your political opinions for the subreddits that actually are meant for discussing such topics.
