High Sodium Low Snark

We're High Sodium NOT high Snark. We do not accept posts complaining about other Simmers. If you don't like the way they play, scroll past them. Keep this to the game/EA/Devs/Creators (see creators rule).

We also do not accept snark about creators. These posts have to relate to the Sims, not parasocial relationships with/about creators. Example: "CreatorName said they don't want kids and they don't like kids! What do you guys think?!" Is off topic high snark and will be removed.

Stay on Topic

This sub is about the Sims franchise and things that go along with it not politics, celebrities (Sims creators are ok) or, other off topic things. This is also a "high sodium" or salty sub, not a share your Sims sub.

Do NOT fight with other subreddits

You are allowed to vent about other subs, you're allowed to complain about them. You are NOT allowed to ask others to help you break that subs rules or reddit rules. You are NOT allowed to ask for help spamming another sub. You are NOT allowed to start harassment, hate, arguments or wars with other subreddits. This goes against REDDIT rules.

We are are currently 1 strike = 30 day ban 2 strikes = permaban.

No trolling

We all have differing opinions, please be kind to others. No name calling, no trolling, no being mean. This sub is about the sims, not how much you hate other sims players.

Black out Personal Info & Sub Names

Black out any personal information, link addresses, subreddit names, etc. Failure to do so will result in having your post removed.

Be careful posting about creators

Please be careful posting about creators. Do not share direct links, screenshots only! Do not give out personal information about them. Do not incite violence or hate against them. Opinions are fine, we will NOT be rallying troops to take them down. No organizing against a creator. Again opinions are fine. Posts MUST be about The Sims.

No spam or self promotion - message team not mods

No spam or self promotion allowed without prior consent of the mods.

You need to be messaging the mod team through the link in the sidebar, we do not respond to direct messages on our individual accounts.

Sims Showcase

Sims Showcase is reserved for weekends (Friday–Sunday). Posts made outside of these days will be removed, but you’re welcome to share them again once the showcase opens.

Duplicate posts on the same subject may be removed and redirected to the original discussion. This rule exists solely for moderation and community organization purposes and does not indicate that the moderation team is taking sides, showing favoritism, or making judgments about any individuals involved. Centralizing discussion allows for fairer, more consistent, and effective moderation. We are a small moderation team working across different time zones.
