Be positive, respectful and do not Insult others

We are a supportive, positive, group of Garmin users who are dedicated to solving problems, answering questions, and having meaningful discussion.

Assume positive intent, even if facing a question / situation that may be commonly discussed, and do your best to enrich, empower and uplift fellow users. If what you have to say isn’t civil, doesn’t add value, insight or helpfulness it needn’t be said.

There is a ZERO tolerance for bulling, harassment, or mistreatment of others

Health / Fitness Scores & Graphs

To reduce feed clutter, photo posts containing Garmin fitness, wellness, health, or training scores are only permitted on Sundays using the Sunday Score flair. Examples include Sleep Score, Body Battery Score, VO2 Max, Endurance Score, Fitness Age, Stress Score, Training Readiness, and similar scores. Graphs and trend data such as HRV, Sleep, Stress, Heart Rate, Body Battery, Recovery, and similar metrics are permitted any day but must include meaningful context.

Technical issues for Health / Fitness Scores & Graphs

If a user suspects there is a technical issue ongoing, that is impacting any of the health metrics - scores, they are welcome to post outside of the Sunday window.

Post flair must be: “Possible Technical Issue”

Post that are made Monday - Saturday, that are not requesting technical advice / support, will be removed.

Violations may result in a ban.

Medical Related Questions

While community feedback can be helpful, medical concerns should be directed to a professional.

If you have to ask whether something is normal, ask a healthcare provider. Not a stranger on the internet

All posts / comments that are seeking / providing medical advice - assumptions are subject to removal.

No Buying, Selling or Trading

Buying, Selling or Trading of any kind is not permitted

If you’re looking for places to buy / sell consider local market places or other popular or online platforms. Ex: eBay, FaceBook, Swappa, etc.

Conversation about buying / selling (such as where to sell) are also not permitted. As it opens the possibility of scams via DM etc.

No advertising / Offering Goods or Services

No post offering a service, goods or self promotion / promoting of any kind is permitted. This includes linking / referring to one’s personally owned YouTube / streaming / social media platform / Fitness - wellness life coaching.etc. Also includes any programs / software built or any AI tools of any kind.

No survey - studies of any kind for any reason.

Apps, watch faces and Garmin-related products may only be promoted by their creator using the [Developer - New App / Watch Face flair].

Titles must use: [New App / New Watch Face], [App Update / Watch Face Update] - [App / Watch Face name]

EX: [New App] - Water Drinker 9000

Must disclose ownership, be limited to one post per item, and include at least a 7-day free trial or a free basic version.

ONE update post per item permitted

External links prohibited. Etsy only for physical products

Spam / Affiliate Links / AI

To help keep r/Garmin a safe community, free of malicious activity, the following content is not permitted

• Spam or any other type of unsolicited content
• Survey that require gathering user information / Data farming
• Discount codes that require users to message privately, leave the forum
• Affiliate links or of any kind
• The use of AI to comment, create post for you, etc
• Post lacks / doesn’t consign substance to differentiate from spam
• Posting multiple YouTube links a day

No NSFW Content

While self explanatory, no content that would otherwise be considered NSFW is permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, drug use, nudity, graphic imagery, etc

Use common sense.

If you have to use a NSFW tag it more than likely is not appropriate to post it here.

No Political Posts

This is not the location to express your political beliefs. Respect one another and keep politics out of the conversation.

Unrelated to Garmin / Off topic posts

Post must be related to Garmin in some way, shape or form.

All “off topic / humor” post are subject to removal via moderator discretion. This is done to uphold the high community standards we strive to achieve. These decisions are final and not eligible for review.

All post must be formatted in the widely accepted language of the community. In this case that is English.
