Posts must be related to UAE / Dubai

• All posts must be related to either of the 7 Emirates or the Country.

7 Emirates include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Posts, Links and Karma Farmers

• Post Titles to be in English only.
• Provide translation for Non English content.
• Post Headline should not be editorialized and must be the same as the linked source. For NEWS POSTS, also see Rule 10.
• No blogs/Vlogs, links to other social media. No videos, or those with additional OC suggested videos.
• No karma farmers (Spammers). Low Effort, AI Slop, Vibe Code apps/sites, ChatGBT, Fake News Posts and Clickbait Post titles will result in user permanent Ban
• No Post or content tags

No illegal, bigotry or other offensive content

• Content that violates UAE law will be removed and are subject to user ban at mod discretion .
• Submissions/Comments having bigotry or hate promoting content or which are considered to cause such discussion and which includes racism, misogyny, communalism, casteism and other similar variants will be removed and are subject to user ban at mod discretion.

Donations/Charity/Crowdfunding

Posts requesting financial aid to raise funds for a specific cause or project, or requests for a person-to-person (P2P) loan will be removed.

No personal or reddit community attacks or abuse

• Be civil while having a discussion. Use of derogatory slurs directed towards other users/groups (including Mods)/communities are discouraged and any moderator can either remove the post/comment chain or ban the user.

No porn, NSFW, dating or friend/companion seeking content

• Submissions containing sexual or pornographic content will be removed!
• No dating, friend seeking or "lonely" posts/comments or content, including requests for one-on-one meet up or "hook up" / "hang out". No perverts.
• Violators will be banned from DubaiCentral

No accounts younger than 3 days or total karma less than 1

Your account must be older than 3 days, or karma greater than 0 to submit posts and comment.

Old content and Reposts

• Submissions containing Old News/Article/Content should be marked as [OLD] in the post title.
• Posting a link which is already being discussed in subreddit will be considered as Repost, and will be removed. However mod discretion can be applied on special cases.

No doxxing or personal information

• Submissions/Comments containing personal information are not allowed. That can include but not limited to phone number, email address, address, social media ID etc. Doxxing & Witch-Hunting other users can get you banned from subreddit. Social media linking of famous people are exempted based on mod discretion and fair use policy.
• Comments calling for or encouraging vote brigading / subreddit brigading / personal attack on a user, will be removed.

NEWS POSTS

Use the "Link" post format . Post title must exactly match the News headline. Links must be to News Agency sites only, not News Aggregator or Blog/Vlog sites.

Photography and Memes

Original Content (OC) photography and memes only. Must be related to Dubai subject matter and all submissions are subject to mods discretion.

Self-Promo, Advertising, Solicitation, Jobs

• Self and Other Promotion/Advertising/Solicitation content is not allowed. Violating this rule results in an automatic permanent ban. Includes services, merchandise, market/research or Post surveys, re-sale of event tickets, No Noon Codes.
• Jobs - No job seeking posts/comments or job market queries, especially those that also contain your CV job history, expertise or qualifications. No Job Rants. Only posts offering contract employment. Post must include Company name and email address.

URL shorteners and Crossposts

URL shorteners and Crossposts are not allowed.

Other Removal Reasons

Moderators remove posts from feeds for a variety of reasons, including keeping communities safe, civil, and true to their purpose.

Ban Policy

User Bans will be at the discretion of the DC Mods, and is dependent on severity and/or frequency of Reddit site-wide or DC sub Rules violations including accounts that have been suspended or shadowbanned by Reddit Admin.
