Dooming is strictly prohibited in this subreddit.

Pessimistic, sensational, or negative posts and bad faith comments will be deleted. Be based and don't be a waste.

We support lighthearted criticism of the doom and gloom culture and expect all visitors to embrace this attitude.

Do Not Focus on Partisanship

We don't focus on partisan debates and team picking here. However, we do get a kick out of memes about political doomers. We’re a mixed bunch but share some common interests. Just remember, no doomer vibes allowed, and please avoid insulting fellow members.

This subreddit is all about keeping it real with humor in a world obsessed with doomscrolling.

No Harassment or Brigading

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any form.

Any calls for brigading – whether it be vote brigading (encouraging others to vote on linked threads) or comment brigading (encouraging other to comment on linked threads) – are strictly forbidden.

Do not participate in showcased comment threads.

Be Civil and Respectful

All discussions within the subreddit must remain civil and respectful. Antagonizing, insulting, or disrespecting users or in mod mail in any way is not allowed. Hate submissions will result in permanent bans.

Be nice. Show some civility. It is just that simple.

No Reddit Identifiers

All screenshots, posts, or comments must fully censor Reddit usernames, subreddit names or direct Reddit links.

Under no circumstance should users try to circumvent this rule unless explicitly given moderator permission to do so.

Submissions Must Be Humorous

This is a meme subreddit, so all submissions should be funny and appropriate for the community.

We appreciate humor related to Doomers, their pessimistic views, or their predictions that have not aged well.

We are not interested in topics like Biden, Harris, Trump, or info from Truth Social, BlueSky, CNN, Fox News, or anything else that is booooring.

Please refrain from posting about LGBTQ+ issues, as they are not related to Doomer themes and usually do not lead to good submissions here.

No Doom Predictions

Statements that predict doom about any subject; such as the economy (“It’s a bubble”) or world events (“New York has fallen”); without a forecasts and strategy outlines are strictly forbidden. Any predictions made must be backed up (example below) and logical. Share your 1 year plan. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a ban.

Example: "The bubble will pop by 2027, leading to a 30% decline in the stock market. Here are my plans to prepare."

No Subreddit Meta-Discussions

We don't care if you believe our subreddit is too left-wing, right-wing, doomer, or not doomer. We are not here to pass your purity test, nor be part of your clique.

Don't come to us crying in the comments section.

Remain On-Topic

Any comments placed on a submission must remain fully on-topic with the original post’s clear direction.

Comments that derail or twist the narrative of a post will be removed. Any comments that try to inject politics, prejudices, personal agendas, or clearly out-of-line topics into any post will be removed.
