Do not link to posts by regular people
Linking to hobbyist posts who have less than 10k followers on social media is not allowed to avoid brigading/targeted bullying, and to minimize the chances of people feeling hurt or targeted and bringing that here.
To discourage brigading, we also don’t allow links or screenshots of posts from other subreddits.
Do not encourage or participate in brigading.
Naming the sub that inspired a post about a generalization or trend is fine. Do not name the sub when your complaint is specific and includes easily identifiable information. Do not ask for links when a thread references a topic from another community.
DO not use this sub to find users to harass in the main crafting subs. This is against Reddit rules and is unacceptable behavior. If you've already commented on a post in a main crafting sub, do not reply to any posts made about it here.
Don't threaten, insult, or harass other commenters.
This community is for venting about crafts and crafting community, not personal attacks/insults, threats, or harassment.
Being annoying, downvoting, or disagreeing with someone, even strongly, is not harassment.
However, menacing someone, directing abuse and insults at a person or group, following them around the site, encouraging others to do any of these actions, or otherwise behaving in a way that would discourage a reasonable person from participating on Reddit crosses the line.
No double dipping
Do not make full posts in BitchEatingCrafters about specific posts in the main crafting sub that you created or have already replied to. Complaints about these posts must be restricted to the minor gripes and vents thread.
This rule is enforced to prevent interference and brigading of other subs.
No spam/low-effort posts
Screenshots/links/articles without any explanation as to why it's your BEC will be removed. Examples include posting a link to a knit colorwork sweater with the explanation “nice floats”
Examples of low effort comments include, but are not limited to: lol, this is dumb, link please, and 🤣💕👌🤮😳😂.
No CircleJerking/Parody Posts
Do not parody hobbyist posts in the main subs, or blatantly reference another post. Please post these in their appropriate circle jerk subreddits.
