1

User must have a minimum of 200 Karma in order to Post and Comment

This measure is intended to help curb the activity of newly created alternate accounts, trolls, disruptive behavior, and previously banned users attempting to rejoin the community.

2

Clear Question Titles with Optional Body

  • Title Requirements: Post titles must include a clear question word (e.g., why, what, how) and end with a question mark.
  • Optional Post Body: While allowed, keep it concise with a maximum of 140 characters.
  • Avoid Clickbait: Titles should be meaningful without additional context in the body.
  • Text-Only Submissions: Avoid including images, videos, or links in the body.
3

Avoid professional advice questions

Please refrain from asking questions intended for professionals such as doctors or lawyers. Reddit is not a substitute for professional advice regarding health, legal matters, and the like.

4

Avoid personal advice questions

AskPH is NOT your personal advice platform. Posts asking for advice must be generic and not specific to your situation alone.

Rants disguised as questions will be removed.

5

Encourage Thoughtful Discussion

  • Questions should be open-ended, avoiding yes/no queries, "this or that" dilemmas, AITA scenarios, polls, surveys, and fill-in-the-blank inquiries.
  • Avoid submitting questions easily answered through a quick Google search.
  • Refrain from asking "what subreddit" questions.
  • Avoid submitting questions that have been asked recently.
6

Avoid Loaded Questions

  • Avoid posting rhetorical questions.
  • Refrain from asking questions that assert a specific opinion or bias.
  • Do not lead respondents towards expressing a predetermined opinion.
7

Serious Posts Policy

  • [SERIOUS]-tagged submissions must prioritize serious discussion.
  • Place the [SERIOUS] tag at the BEGINNING of your post title for serious responses.

8

No classifieds

If your post or comment is removed by a moderator, do not repost it or argue with the decision publicly. Contact the moderators privately to discuss any concerns.

13

Repetitive Topics

Posts will be locked/removed if the topic has been discussed frequently to keep the subreddit organized and avoid clutter from repeated discussions.

Before posting, please try using the search function to see if your question or topic has already been discussed recently. You may find existing threads with helpful answers and ongoing conversations.

Violation reason: Repetitive Topic

Potentially controversial threads / Ragebait posts

Posts/Questions that have the potential to generate a highly controversial or inflammatory discussion that may derail the community’s intended purpose may be locked or removed at moderator's discretion

To keep the subreddit welcoming and productive for everyone, we sometimes remove posts that are likely to lead to heated arguments, hostility, or divisive debates rather than constructive conversation.
