This subreddit is for discussions meaningfully related to China itself, including Chinese society, culture, current events, and daily life. Posts loosely connected to China, such overseas diaspora topics, generic geopolitical debates, or questions better suited for another country/nationality-based subreddit, may be removed.

Don't use this sub as a megaphone to attack outside groups or vent grievances outward. Debate posts are welcome but they must be genuine inquiries aimed inward at this community, instead of leading or rhetorical questions designed to seek validation or broadcast arguments to wider Reddit. AskAChinese encourages the natural exchange of individual perspectives; it's not a platform for activism.

No low effort questions | 禁止低质量的提问

• Editorialized/sensationalist screenshots (e.g. "thoughts on X?" with media attached, or pre-packaged conclusions)
• Questions that are easily googled.
• QR code verification requests, surveys, ads, and subreddit promotions disguised as questions.
