Content Guidelines and Discussion Posts

Please keep all content related to the Arsenal Women's Team and Girls Youth Academy . Unrelated content will be removed. This includes low quality posts (such as articles with slide shows, lifted posts from other social media sites with no additional information, memes and image macros).

Blogs, Advertising and OC

Submission of links or content from sites you write for, own, or are otherwise involved with must be within reason and not spam. You must clearly identify that you are associated with the site or article in question in the post title of anything submitted from your site. Your self-link frequency needs to be reasonable, and cannot violate the other rules about content submission. We would prefer you to be an active community member, submitting and commenting on links that are not solely your own.

Quote Post Formatting

Post quote must use the format of having (at least) the last name of the poster in brackets and the exact words copy and pasted with edits allowed for clarity (hashtags, abbreviations, and handles can be changed, and the words can be translated into English) e.g. "[Sanders] Arsenal interested in signing Alex Scott."

Hard paywalled content should be summarised, not copied.

We allow posting of hard paywalled content and encourage the OP to summarise the main points of the article as a comment to facilitate discussion. You may not copy-and-paste the article from the paywalled site or provide links to sites that bypass paywalls. A hard paywalled site is one that requires a subscription before viewing any articles.

Pre/Post/Match Thread guidelines

1. We generally don't use Pre-Match threads however you are welcome to use the weekly discussion thread or make a Pre-Match thread.
2. Any thread titled "match thread?" (or similar for pre/post threads) may be deleted for low effort.
3. If there is no match thread don't forget you can make your own!
4. We usually use the match result post as a Post-Match thread, again you may also use the weekly discussion thread or make a post-match thread.

Remember to be nice to each other. We are here to support all the teams that make up Arsenal Football Club, even though this sub is dedicated to the Women's side.

Interaction from/with Opposing fans

Fans from opposition teams/rivals are welcome to comment here and even participate in our match threads however this must be done in good faith. Posting from opposition fans is NOT allowed, if users believe an exception needs to be made please message the mods. Anything made with the intent to incite anger will be removed and bans may be given. Additionally while the overwhelming bias will be towards Arsenal here, any untoward behaviour toward opposing fans will also be met with a hard line.

Clothing Spam

T-Shirt, Jumper and other clothing spam posts will result in an instant ban. If you are a legitimate user caught up in one of these posts unknowingly we encourage you to message us on modmail. Due to both the volume of this kind of spam and it's danger to users we take a zero-tolerance stance on it.

Alt accounts

Using alternate accounts for ban evasion is unacceptable and also against Reddit tos. Additionally using alt accounts to amplify your voice in discussions or harass other users is also not allowed on this subreddit and can lead to a ban of your primary account too.

No links to 'X'

'X' is banned in this community, please try and find another source. If no alternate source can be found a screenshot is allowed. If a non-'x' source is posted after an 'x' screenshot, the screenshot will be deleted.

This decision was taken by the community and is supported by the moderators. As well as concerns over the direction of the website and it's owner, safety and accesibility for users was a big concern that we do not feel is being adequately met.

No Trolling Other Subreddits

Trolling the subreddits of other teams or leagues is an immediate and permanent ban from r/ArsenalWFC. This includes boasting after a victory, spamming their sub, or arguing with their members. We don't want people trolling here so why would we harbour people who troll elsewhere?

Posts from other social media sites

Submission of posts primarily containing a picture or video from other social media sites must be within reason and not spam. Your post frequency needs to be reasonable, and cannot violate the other rules about content submission, particularly rule 2. Infrequent or interesting posts like this are okay but too many and they turn the subreddit into simply a delayed feed for other sites that many users also already follow.
