r/ASX_Bets Subreddit Rules

1

No Stock Pumping

No pumping some stupid stock for no reason. If you have some DD, write some DD.

2

Posts should be Flaired. All Penny stock posts get a "Dumbfuck Discussion" Flair

A penny stock is anything with a share price below $1 OR a market cap below $250m.

Crystal ball gazing - trying to predict the future using current facts

Legit discussion - self explanatory

Mr Squiggle - TA on charts accompanied by explanations. Not Screenshots of CommSex.

Noob stuff - Self explanatory

Hole in the Ground and a liar standing next to it - speccie mining stuff

Gains - Realized Gains ie: SOLD

Coward Gains - Unrealized gains ie: NOT SOLD

DD - Due Diligence. Research and shit.

3

Yolo rules

$10k for stocks

$1k for more than 5% OTM options

$2k for less than 5% OTM options

$5k for ITM options

$10k for BBUS

$15k for BBOZ

$5k for CFDs

Proof is required.

4

No more than one post per Stock post per day per person.

Meme Stock focused posts should be posted in the daily thread. It's fine to post wins or losses, Decent quality Shitposts excepted, but only 1 per day.

5

Don't give, or act like anything here is financial advice.

You make your own mistakes. (there ASIC, are you happy now)

6

No Zero effort posts

Does your post contain only the words "Thoughts on XYZ?" or just a Ticker and nine rocket emojis? Then don't post it. If you have something that has a reason it's going to moon, then post the reason. It's not that hard to write something that explains why this is the next big thing and it's going to make a ton of money.

The Daily Thread can contain your garbage.

7

If you are here in an official capacity. Message the mods first.

This includes anyone pushing a product, broker, share or regulator (Hi ASIC), or any journalist. The mods know you've done this because you will get an "Official Shill" Flair.

If you're anyone major, we often will request an email from a corporate email account to confirm you're real.

8

Megathread

If the mods initiate a mega-thread. All posts (including shitposts) must be placed in that thread. Only exceptions are GAINS and LOSSES which must be real (i.e relevant stonks sold)

9

No encouraging suicide, self harm or self destruction

Should be clear.

10

No Cryptocurrency

We have a junior subreddit over at /r/crypto_betsAU go there for Crypto. Or the million other subreddits. It's not for here.

11

BAN/BET RULE

  • User must have minimum 500 karma to place a ban bet
  • User must have minimum 1000 karma to place any ''other'' bet
12

The Count

If you start a count towards something or counting down to something like "x days until y", Mods may just hold you to count continuously until that event happens. Break a count and you will be banned until that event happens or for 6 months. Whatever comes first.
