No U.S. politics

/r/ADVChina is not a place to discuss partisan U.S. politics. Posts and comments primarily or significantly concerning U.S. politics with little or no relevance to China are not allowed.

The goal of this subreddit is to avoid becoming a political echo-chamber and instead represent a wide variety of political views united against the unique threat of the CCP.

Be civil

/r/ADVChina has zero tolerance for racism and bigotry of any form. If you are unable to differentiate between criticism of the CCP and racist statements against Chinese people, you will be banned.

Calls for violence or death will result in a ban.

Use of offensive slurs, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, etc. will also result in a ban.

Spirited debate is welcomed, however do not resort to personal attacks or you will be warned and your uncivil comments removed.

No spam

Please refrain from making new posts on the subreddit multiple times per day, or from making excessive numbers of comments. This is not a large subreddit, repeated posts by single users will drown out other voices and pollute the frontpage of the subreddit.

No linking directly to wumao/shill content

Linking directly to content by wumaos/CCP shills is not allowed. Sharing these videos gives them free views from subreddit users and boosts the video and the shill's channel in the YouTube algorithm.

Discussion threads are allowed as long as no links are shared to the content.

No piracy

Do not post or share links to pirated or illegal content. Please support small creators by legally purchasing their work and refraining from sharing content illegally.

If you would like to report piracy of C-Milk or Winston's content, please message them privately or send in a modmail.

Wumaos/Tankies/CCP Supporters

If you're a wumao, tankie, CCP supporter, etc. you are allowed to post as long as you participate in meaningful discussion. Spamming numerous comments or posts with the intention of disrupting the subreddit, or violating any other subreddit rules, will result in a ban.

Posts must either be in English or contain an English translation.

Since the ADV Community primarily speaks English, your posts should either be in English or contain an English translation. We welcome people from anywhere, but it can be difficult to moderate posts containing no English translation.

No AI Slop

No posts containing low-effort AI slop or links to AI slop style content. Posts or links to content containing AI is okay, but entirely generated content may be removed.
